Lauren Daigle is a Christian artist so she does alot of of Christian Contemporary Music... She only has two albums out so she's relatively new.... She only started rising to fame recently because of a song called You Say alot of people have praised the song because it helped alot if people out of depression and talked them out of committing suicide.... I recently became a huge fan, she's great vocally she's got a really goofy personality which I love... You should really react to some of her other stuff she's really talented....

Renee Roland She has her album labeled as artist instead of Christian artist so that her songs can be played in all radio channels. She goes to the world for spreading the Love and Words of God. Mainstream radios and TVs ban songs mentioning Jesus. Lauren has a song mentioning Jesus in her new album. Mainstream radios have never played it. ********** For your reference: Country artist's song dropped from radio over mention of Jesus NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)--Daron Norwood's song, "In God We Trust," made it to some mainstream country playlists and briefly enjoyed status as the most requested song before radio executives started dropping the song because it contains the name of Jesus. "WSM [in Nashville] played the song for two days when it first came out and said it was their most requested song," said Mike Borchetta, president of Lofton Creek Records, the label that signed Norwood. "Then they stopped playing it and said it was too long. I said, 'Too long?' and they said, 'Well, it's got too much Jesus in it.'" KWNR, a country station in Las Vegas, was another station that began to play the song and then dropped it. "It was the most requested song for 10 days in a row, and then they said it had too much religious content," Borchetta told Baptist Press. (Posted on May 30, 2003)

Since you are a vocal coach, I was hoping you'd review more of her technique, rather than just the music. I understand she's belting, but there are healthy ways to belt. She is compared to Adele because she pushes with her throat. Adele has had nodes, so she probably will, too. You can tell by their scratchy speaking voices.

I'd never heard of her, either, and I'm American. Then I read about her on Wikipedia, and it became clear why. She's classified as a "Christian" artist, and all her music awards have been in that category. I'm afraid that if she confines her music to just that category, she may have success but not at the level we'd all like to see. I mean, her first record went platinum, and still, I've never heard of her. But Christians must be crazy about her. Unfortunately, most of those type of songs don't cross over into the mainstream. So, she's self-limiting her career by staying in that groove. If that's what she's comfortable with, though, why not? She doesn't need to be a pop diva to be happy.
@jasonn77785 жыл бұрын
1thomson I mean you Say it doesn’t cross over to mainstream she was on Ellen and her music had millions of views, that are not only Christians like myself. She’s mainstream enough 😉

1thomson I’ve been following her for a few years but just a couple months ago she stated that she no longer considers herself a Christian artist, but just an artist in general. She’s a Christian, but she doesn’t want her music and creativity to be boxed in. So hopefully you’ll be seeing more of her around. 😏🙌

It's all about Jesus. His friend Lazarus died and they put him in a tomb, after three days Jesus showed up and told them roll back the stone and called him out,..Alive! Shortly after Jesus was killed (crucified) and resurrected. "Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw the stone had been rolled back" -John 20

It's a shame you didn't "meet" Laren Daigle by way of "You Say." It was released in July 2018 and has already been nominated for two Grammys. Listen and you'll hear why (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qXrEhWuAoZetpqs). Although Daigle limits herself to spiritual music, her appeal is spreading beyond this genre. Three days ago, Julia Westlin (who is not a "Christian artist") released a stunningly beautiful acapella cover of "You Say" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3ylpHl-idygnK8) which measures up to the original in its own way.

Actually right now her fans are not too happy with her crossing over the way she has. It's pretty intense at the moment .. However she has been successful as a Christian artist because of her range and versatility partially ..and messages of her songs are very inspirational along with the unique tone of her voice . But yes has that Adele tone . Her stage presence I think is not very good in my opinion. Seeing her live at a concert confirmed that .. That to me is more detrimental than the fact that she may be limited vocally which is debatable depending on one's personal taste is music .
@blueisback36836 жыл бұрын
Have to agree, we are to quick to put labels on singers. I suppose coming from the Christian market is different than crossing over from say country to pop, but how many great singers came from Gospel. Come to think of it, Whitney caught a lot of criticism.
@reddragonready6 жыл бұрын
@@blueisback3683 Indeed Alison Krauss..not even really a christian singer as such but from that neck of the woods ..got plenty of flack for working with Robert Plant. But I think most of that flack comes from christian circles. Don't think from the other side people care much if a singer comes from christian music scene. Though that does depend on whether the lyrics of her songs are all about religion.
