There's just something fascinating to me about cutting down a big tree. Not that I want to cut it down, but I want to watch the process. Now, since the bees were in the tree, and the tree was to be removed, I got to the site early to see the process. I was expecting to find the bees somewhere in the trunk as it is so often.....surprise, surprise, surprise. This removal caught me off guard. I hope you enjoy seeing the removal of the tree as well as the safe removal of the bees. Thanks fro watching. God's peace to all. Mr. Ed

Well, I am truly grateful that you subbed. I am always taken aback by the number of folks that sub to my channel. To think all these people are spending their time, our most precious commodity, watching what I am doing with bees, and enjoying it. Thank you for the honor. I certainly hope you continue to watch and enjoy. It's especially honoring to think you are in another country around the world watching. Thank you again John. God's peace. Mr. Ed

You make a great point, regardless of the shape or size of the cavity the bees occupy, they can build comb to accommodate the space. Hey Mr Ed, if you didn't manage to pickup the queen, is there a chance that the hive will carry on in that same location? good stuff as always!
@JeffHorchoff
@JeffHorchoff 6 жыл бұрын
Since I did get the queen in the vac, that scenario can't happen. However, if the queen was left behind, she would vacate the location with the remaining bees and try to start in a new location. If the robber bees found the queen, they would more than likely kill her.Great question. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed

I do like your videos, but I'd like the camera to be closer in a lot of them. did the bees make the hole inside the tree or it was already there and they just filled it up?
@JeffHorchoff

No, the bees did not make the cavity. As a matter of fact, they were not the first colony of bees to occupy the space. All the comb was removed, as I did not want any of these bees to be left behind. If any comb was left, the bees from this hive would stay on it with little chance of survival. I post these videos, to show just how important bees are to our very survival, and why we should not just kill them out of ignorance. Kevin, if you didn't live in the UK, just because it's to far, I'd go to your house and trade trash talk all night long, you have a real talent. When I saw how I looked with the hood pulled back, Mother Teresa was not what came to my mind, more like the alien in the Alien movie. As far as the swarm catch number, I don't have an exact one. My best guess, and I know I'm in the neighborhood for both of us, 16 to 34. I'll let you guess who beat the pants off the other guy. This was a cave cut out, did you see how eep that thing was.
