If a person went all the way to the checkout page, it's not the add-on that closed the sale. The add-on just hijacked the sale for the person who influenced you to buy it. And if the online shop is a honey partner, then they can control the offers shown in the add-on therefore making the claim of getting the best deals misleading.

I think you are the one that doesn't understand were al this hate towards Honey comes from. 1. Honey does absolutely nothing to get a user on a specific webshop in the first place. 2. Honey DOESN'T "influence" the purchase as much as you say they do, if a user clicks an affiliate link and goes to the check-out, they are probably already thinking of buying the product in their cart. 3. Honey replaces the tracking cookie even if they DON'T HAVE ANY COUPONS! 4. Honey pops up at the check-out page, so in almost all of the cases can they "earn" the sale for themselves, even though they had NOTHING to do with getting a user to a webshop. There are plenty of other reasons why Honey is a shitty company, these are just some easy to understand arguments (basing on your video, the more complex arguments go over your head).
