Alright, everyone, this week you have to take an espresso shot every time I say "wonderful" (good luck)
Honey Vanilla Lavender Syrup Recipe:
20g dried lavender
175g honey
150g water
1/2 tsp vanilla paste
Heat honey and water together over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Once honey and water begin to come together, add vanilla paste and begin stirring. Turn off the heat right as the mixture begins to froth slightly, but be sure not to boil it. Add dried lavender, stir thoroughly, then fully remove from heat. Allow to cool and steep for 30 minutes before straining out the lavender and transferring to a storage container.
Enjoy as you like it!

A fun method you can do for just lavendar syrup (as vanilla will turn the syrup brown). Is to mix in some butterfly pea flower and a few drops of lemon or lime juice. And you will have a deep purple/blue syrup. Great in a London Fog, or lighter flavored coffees.

Lavender is one if my favorite baking herbs. I make scones and biscotti most, but it's good in cheesecake too. I also infuse it with gin. Lavender is so fun to cook with.

i've been using lavender extract to make straight lavender syrup for a while but this just looks like the next level. thank you for this video, i'll definitely have to give it a try. coming in i was worried that the ingredients didn't include anything to stop the crystallization process but the recipe makes such a small amount of syrup i feel like it will probably get used up before it can crystallize. it will not surprise me if i come back here in a while to drop a larger batch recipe which includes stabilizing ingredients like corn syrup and vitamin C.

Loved this video! Also, Pretty Litter is great! Our litter had blue coloring all of a sudden and we took our cat to the vet. Turns out he was forming crystals in his bladder and needed special food to treat it. The crystals can cause tons of problems and can even be fatal if left untreated, so we were so thankful that the litter alerted us to the problem. Hey Morgan, great video! FYI some types of lavender are not actually edible and will make food taste like soap. Make sure you get culinary grade lavender (usually L. Angustifolia) so your coffee will always taste great.

I think it's just in the air. Just made a lemon zest simple syrup to make some lemonade, and I tossed in a little bit of lavender. Of course, mine has FAR less lavender as I just want it to accentuate some of the floral notes in lemon, but... yeah. After this video I added a little "boop" of vanilla paste and now... I'm going to have to reserve a little to drizzle on angel food cake with some berries.

Hi Morgan, nice video. Here's a tip to potentially save you some dish washing and definitely save a bit of work: weigh your ingredients directly into the saucepan! That way you don't have to transfer something sticky like honey from one container to another.
