@honeybadger3dprintandpaint3 жыл бұрын
honest answer is we haven't painted alot of darker flesh tones but its a whole another video as they are harder to paint and its a different technique the real trick with them is not making the look super offensive, hence why we haven't done a video yet lol

You didn't really drybrush the lightest tone thoroughly. The skin around the chin and mouth look like ol' Leonardo has dry, flaky skin. Might just be the texture of the bust. Still, I liked your explanation and that is very informative.

I have never painted a model before. thanks for the tip! I have a small motorcycle rider, that I need to paint 1/8 size motorcycle and rider so I need very little paint for the rider just arms and face, could you give me the links to the paint you use or should I just go with to Tamiya flesh color paint? I might have one or two other projects that I need very little flash paint. What is the three you use? could you put links in description?
@honeybadger3dprintandpaint2 жыл бұрын
so we normally use the flesh tone kit from greenstuffwolrd but vallejo or citadel do similar kits

Great video, I am trying to improve my skin paint so thank you very much. Now my question is: I cannot find those paints, so I need to find replacement colours. Those name are very brand specific....do you have any suggestion how those would be called as regular colours (ochre or something like that)?
@honeybadger3dprintandpaint3 жыл бұрын
So those are citadel paints from games workshop I’m not sure what they would be in other brands
@thoth8349 Жыл бұрын
I have no idea how KZbin comments work, but hopefully you can get this. I'm no painting pro, but as simple colors I'd say Bugmans is a red-toned tan/light-brown, and the other two are just whiter variants of that. If you have a tan-flesh color paint and a white paint, lay down a dot of each on a wet pallete separate from each other and pull/mix them together for a gradient you should be able to get this same colors through there. Maybe add a little bit of yellow in the middle but depending on your tan it may be close enough. For me I can start with any brown or white to get to a skin color, but the reds and yellows in between seem to make the biggest difference. Using the gradient method I mentioned has given me the most success since I don't have to think too hard on "in-between" stages for layers. Hope this helps some, and sorry for the long reply.
