I’d love to see a tutorial on 1/12 scale figures. There’s a lot of Marvel Legends and import customizers like myself who use these guides, but struggle with the smaller size.

This is a Great video I love the fact that you started off using just the Vallejo basic skin tone as your base coat because every other video that I see on KZbin always has someone mixing 3 or 4 different paints together just to create 1 base skin tone lol your approach just seems a lot easier and I definitely have to try it whenever I get the chance

I had this problem as well. Took me a while to actually get paint down on one of my printed models. I made some models for gifts this year and that forced me to do it. Once you start getting paint down it becomes a lot easier to put down more! Realizing I can always just print a new part really helps as well.

GSI airbrushes are awesome I own several of those and two Iwata Microns, an Iwata Takumi, and my next favorite is my trigger type Grex. I also have a H&S which I only use for hyper realistic paintings. But the GSI out of the box are freaking amazing and the price point of around $99 last forever and spray amazing every time for consistency. I also found that Createx Colors work amazingly well with resin printed models (airbrush paint).

Hi, can you use the airbrush in your apartment? I can open windows and stuff like that, but depending on the weather, it would be stupid on the balcony. I'm unsure about the paint mist, someone I know says no problem, he does it too, no problems, it's not that big, others say without a mini cabin, you'll mess up the room in the long run. How are your experiences?

Hey CC, I've got a lot of models I'm planning on painting, that are showing a lot of skin (mostly human skin), instead of painting two layers of gray undercoat and two layers of color with zero shading and depth. Is there any methods of making some visually pleasing skin with shading, and outfits/uniforms with also good shading? I'm still trying to get highlighting down, and how to correctly tie it to light sources and stuff. I heard one of the best beginner methods is to get a spray undercoat and just spray the model from above, using a white spray primer to simulate a light source. Do people use washes for skin, for larger models that are also heavy on skin? One last note, sort of new to mini painting any recommendations on any products to achieve these results? Right now I've got the Game Master RP Paint set, but I've got the Vallejo Basic Paint Set & Vallejo Grey Primer coming in soon. Down the line I'm thinking about the Vallejo Face/Skin Set, Citadel Reikland Fleshshade, Citadel Base Bugman's Glow, Citadel Layer Cadian Fleshtone, Citadel Layer Kislev Flesh.
@TheCreativeCollector Жыл бұрын
You can use a zenithal method of shading with skin tones if you prefer. I like to use darker tones with an airbrush. You might want to use a white primer first when doing that much of skin tones. It can bring a lighter vibrance so you won't have to go too dark with the shading.
