Be careful what you wish for when it comes to your family Chelcie. Sometimes its best to stay away from the toxicity of family. I have been through the same sort of thing with some of my family members. It is jealousy and selfishness that cause people to behave like that. Its best to let them go. Surround yourself with positive people who want to see you succeed and be happy. You should be very proud that you have made your way and you have people around you that do love you.

I have the same situation with my father. We are fb friends but he has chosen to not be apart of my life. I haven’t seen hi, since I was prob 13 and i’m now 45. I have had to just accept it is what it is! I don’t have a relationship with either of my parents. They both chose to not be apart of me or my kids life since I was 16.

@@maceroee thanks for recommendation! i will check it out! it definitely has made me be very conscious of the parent I am to my kids and want to be. it's always a fine line not letting the trauma from childhood affect parenting kids. As I watch my children grow I have had many moments I just can't understand why or how could a parent make choices mine have but it has definitely made me very aware of how much of a impact parents, role models and that the choices we make really affect children. my kids are my everything. I will break the cycle with me. I make sure my kids always feel valued, wanted, loved and that I have taught them the things they need to be successful in life and mentally healthy. 😊

I as well can't believe things I see with parents leaving there kids and going on with their lives like nothing. My kids are my everything. I would literally die for them.
