Honeymooning in Australia & New Zealand | Travel Video

A 3-week honeymoon adventure to Australia and New Zealand. Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions about the trip or video. Our stops and activities included:
- Sydney - including visiting the Sydney Opera House, Blue Mountains, Featherdale Wildlife Park, Bondi Beach, and of course exploring the city.
- Port Douglas - Four mile beach, Daintree Rainforest tour and diving the Great Barrier Reef with Blue Dive.
- Townsville & Ayr - Diving the S.S. Yongala wreck and exploring Magnetic Island.
- Auckland - Visiting the Sky Tower and harbor.
- Rotorua & North Island - Waitomo glow worm caves, Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland, Hobbiton evening banquet tour, Whakarewarewa Living Maori Village, Zorbing.
- Queenstown - Gondola & luging, helicopter ride to the Remarkables, Seabreacher on Lake Wakatipu, Milford Sound cruise, and hiking to the top of Roy’s Peak Track.

Hi! Love your video. Im thinking about going to New Zealand and Australia for my honeymoon but we only have 2 weeks. Which spots would you recommend and how much time in each?

Thanks, Gabriele! That's hard to answer because it depends a lot on what you and your partner like to do. Our trip was three weeks - I have all the places/activities listed in the video description. If I had to cut that trip down to two weeks, I would probably start by removing the north island of New Zealand. It is beautiful but we enjoyed the South Island a lot more. If you are not divers, you could easily cut Townsville/Ayr - the S.S. Yongala dive was the main attraction for us there. That dive was one of the most incredible experiences of my life though, so I would try to sneak it in if you are divers. It was also much better than the GBR dives out of Port Douglas, but Port Douglas was much nicer for terrestrial experiences. You should obviously make the trip catered to you and your partner, but based on our experience you could look into something like this: 4 days in Sydney 4 days in Port Douglas OR Townsville/Ayr (factor in decompression time for dives/flying) 6 days in Queenstown / South Island You will lose time for traveling between destinations, so you'll have to factor what activities you want to do and how much you want to cram in versus how much you want to relax.
