I agree - it is hard to find audio books that are not about murder, or, on the other hand so superficial/flat and a lot of the PGWodehouse are read in a too hurried and non-calm way… thanks gain to Nick Martin 🙏🏻

Oh, good!! A ghost story for Hallowe'en! The Blandings story 'The Custody of the Pumpkin' would have been a good seasonal story too but 'Honeysuckle Cottage,' like the Empress of Blandings, brings home the bacon.

I have never read P. G. Wodehouse before and have been reading Jeeves and Wooster on my kindle and loving it because it's one of those rare books that can have you laughing out loud. This reminds me so much of when I was dating my DH many years ago. I had a disastrous first marriage and was determined remain single. I didn't want to even date my DH, as he had just gotten divorced and I knew the dangers of rebound relationships. Yet when he asked me out, even though I was internally saying no, I was surprised to find myself actually saying yes. Then when he asked me to move in with him, the same thing happened, and then later when he asked me to marry him. We've been together almost 50 years now, and I'm not sorry my inner self took over at those times.
