It's a good thing I've read this book at least 6 times, because the end of the story cut off and "who done it" is never reveled 😂

Benedict Cumberbatch is fabulous! Couldn't have picked a better reader. But AI is awful and makes so many mistakes, anyone trying to learn English from this will be very confused or get things very wrong. Would be much better transcribed by a real person.
@michoeljones
@michoeljones Жыл бұрын
So don’t watch the video just listen to the audio. This is a copyrighted audiobook that someone generously took the time to upload for your free enjoyment. Should the uploader be shamed for also daring to add an ai generated transcription. How dare they.
@ambersayge8710

Yes, how dare they feed the AI that's stealing so many artist's work and jobs. I know a lot of artists fighting back against this type of thing, and I stand with them. Period. And if the AI titles are supposed to be helping people understand English, that's even worse.@@michoeljones

@@ambersayge8710 It's criminal. But the problem is, half the people who would transcribe an audiobook would be just as bad (having been reared on the likes of this nonsense). Heidsieck champagne was transliterated as "hide-seek."

beautiful reading but glanced up just in time to see that certain persons went to a bark recital! I think Johann Sebastian might have been amused but as to Agatha Christie....probably not.

The expression is ‘another think coming’, not ‘another thing coming’. Please, before you come at me, look it up. It’s always been ‘another think’. People mishearing the phrase and then repeating it with a misspelling doesn’t make it right or in any way sensible. Thank you in advance for checking out the verity of what I say rather than piling on.

How is it that I, a mere pleb, know that it is pronounced Allen, not Allaine? Mr Cumberbatch has clearly never read the origin of the good inspector where Ngaio Marsh clearly states that it is pronounced Allen with no Y sounded. It's annoying. Pengwing.
