This unit works great but my question is, I’ve had past Honeywell ACs and with this one when I turn it on the top doesn’t automatically open, I have to manually open it for it to cool the room. Is this normal for this model? Or is the top meant to open once you turn on the AC?

What about the noise? It was very audible before you turned it off, my main concern is the noise

Hello! The tested sound level of this portable AC is between 51 to 53 Decibels (low to high fan speeds). This Classic series has been selling for over 7 years and is one of our most popular models. Sound however, does exist due to the internal operation of the motor and compressor (as with any portable air conditioner) and whether it is bearable can be a subjective experience for each person.
