Just moved in to a house that uses this programmer. Very clear and very helpful instruction video, much better than reading an instruction book.

I have this programmer however we don't have a hot water tank and the hot water section on the programmer is used to actually heat the radiators upstairs and the heating section heats the underfloor heating downstairs. Would the Honeywell RF2 pack 5 be a straight replacement for this?

All the information and videos I’ve seen refer to hot water and heating. But I assume this could be used to set separate timing for two separate hot water cylinders?

@lumonteirouk9 ай бұрын
That is exactly my question. I dont want to programme it, I want to tyrn it on when I want.
@d.j9977 ай бұрын
I think you just move the small slide control on the right to off then to continous when you want it to stay on
@711honved3 ай бұрын
Either select continuous or press extra hour up to 3 times. That will give you up to 3 hours of heating or hot water. I used the extra hour button whenever I just want a short instant burst of heat or hot water.

I followed these instructions and the programmer still doesn't work. The date settings etc are as I want them, but when I switch to auto it will not come on at the first set time. The word "saved" does not appear only complete. Any advice please. Many thanks

just got this system in the house and never having central heating before I find it very confusing. The boiler is solid fuel and not lit all day just from 6pm onwards what mode should the heating control be in when I want it to run all the time when boiler is on as there is some problem and I are unsure if it is a setting problem or some other issue.
@dd1ddee2 жыл бұрын
I think you want continuous mode.

Thank you very much for your time and clear explanation. I hv two questions; 1) I want to set it in a way that whenever I want hot water I get it. How to do this? 2) Reg Heating, I have a thermostat to switch on heating anytime I want, should I still set up the programmer ? Thank you

If you leave the hot water timer on from for example 4pm-10pm, is the boiler going to keep reheating the water continuously? Or does it automatically stop heating the water once its reached boiling point?

How do you turn the heating on without having to go through all the different timings for each day. ?

Why when I set times for hot water does my heating also come on. I'm only using the left hand side and keep heating as off.
@mariarossi67194 жыл бұрын
I have a question which I can't find the answer to on Google and am hoping you might be able to help. When I was cleaning the other day, I accidentally went a bit too close to the central heating control panel and I think the smallest amount of water from the sponge must've leaked its way down inside. The control panel started to flicker and slightly buzz. I grabbed a wooden spoon and switched it off as quickly as I could. I haven't put it back on yet. Wondering if it would be safe to switch back on or even put the heating on or should I leave for perhaps longer? Have tried searching on Google but cannot seem to find an answer anywhere. Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks so much.

Does the continous setting for the heating keep the heating on all day or only when you switch the actual heating on? Just had an annual safety gas check and the gas man has left me with hot water but no heating. The honeywell control panel says it's switched to off and I can't remember what it was on before. It only shows the green light when it's switched to continuous.

Same problem how the solve?

@@cansua.7247 The green light is supposed to stay on. The heating is only on when you turn it on.

or auto?

Auto
@Daggerpie696 жыл бұрын
Is there a difference between Auto & Once? Thanks
@pammfh6 жыл бұрын
Yes. 'Auto' turns the water/heating on and off at the times you have set on the programmer e.g. the heating might come on three times 7-9am, 12-2pm, 5-11pm. It's the normal running position. 'Once' switches on at the earliest 'on' time, and runs continuously until the lasted programmed 'off' time. In the example, the heating would come on at 7am and go off at 11pm. This is useful if you have a day off work - it allows you to run the heating/water all day without changing the programmed times.

@John-sg7fx4 жыл бұрын
I have just had a similar problem with an older, Honeywell ST7100, timer. I cleared all the times and started again making sure the 'Off' time of the previous ‘On/Off’ period is finished before the next 'On' period starts - all is now working - give it a go. If you don’t have any instruction they are available in the internet at: www.manualslib.com/manual/874849/Honeywell-St9400c.html PDF download and free.

@valwas65813 жыл бұрын
Sorry mate. There are a few problems with your video. the first is that the camera was placed too close to the box, the result of which is that all is blurred. This is very annoying. The second is that your finger or hand is always in the way. Also this is very annoying. Your explanation are not very clear IMMO, as you do too much talking. Third, you don't say how to NOT programme the 3rd time. I am now skipping to another video. Good luck.

Everything you mentioned actually made the video more clear, in my opinion.
