Thank you so much for posting this video! While trying to set up the smart features for my thermostat, something went wrong and the configuration of the thermostat got messed up. I couldn’t do anything with the thermostat, the system was blowing hot air and I couldn’t even turn it off, from the thermostat itself. Finding the hidden factory reset saved the day. The system is now running properly!

Had the Triangle with ! in the middle, this reset got rid of that error code. I've been looking for a full reset for a few of these, tenants sometimes get into the menus and password them on us.

Thank you! My home came with this installed but connect to the annoying ADT/Safe Haven Qpanel. I want everything connected to my Ring system that I installed. I really dislike ADT/ Safe Haven.

Awesome. We have a new home that has 3 thermos. Here in AZ its 116 degrees. Apparently we enrolled in an Energy Saving program (without our knowledge) and it purposely keeps our thermo at 85 degrees in the afternoon all the way till we go to bed. Theres no answers on how to bypass it. I will try this today. I would assume it would delete its parameters although it does not indicate its "following a schedule" on the screen. I'll try a schedule reset first, then the factory.

is there a partial lock on this thermo? Otherwise you can just reset it and program it they way you like. I have videos for each of those functions in my thermos playlist. Good luck! 116F is brutal.

@JohnFrancoNH oh OK. No not that. So I did a factory reset and set it at 80. It's now gone from 83 to 84. So that didn't do it for me

I have this system in the townhouse I rent, for the most part the system runs fine, when in the system through the menu it shows schedule off but for some reason it turns on each day at exactly 5 am and 5 pm and I never programmed it, do I need to factory reset it to have that stop?

@@katalina4133 this actually didn't fix it. We had to open the windows and wait for maintenance the next morning. They said apparently in the deep settings it was set to heat even though it showed a/c was on. It was so weird! He came in and fixed it in 10 minutes. 🥴

On the Honeywell Home T6 Pro, what is the "Recovery mode"? We have one unit with two thermostats; one for main house and the other for apartment attached to main house. Every afternoon we have a strong odor emitting from the air vents. The main house thermostat reads "recovery mode" and the "lights" on the wall fixture read "purge" when this odor happens.

You pull it directly out from the wall and you’ll see three AA batteries on the back side of the panel.

After too many warranty calls, we finally decided to go back to the 8000 series thermostats. No more money losing warranty calls for thermostats.

Reading the manual to us doesn't help much. An in-depth explanation of each parameter would be more useful, showing how to setup for several types of systems. This might take more than one video but would be worthwhile. If this is covered in another video, references to that video would be helpful.

HELP! My Honeywell Home T6 Pro Programmable Thermostat TH6320U2008 TH6220U2000 TH6210U2001 doesn't have SCHEDULE as an option. The manual doesn't have instructions for schedules. Just tells how to set the DATE, TIME, F/C, LOCK, ALERT. So what is Programmable and how do I access programming? Apparently I have to upgrade? What am I missing? The cover plate says HONEYWELL HOME at the top and ProSeries at the bottom.

Your case is just like my case, after holding menu for 5 seconds and you see device setup, go to RESET click select and then you'll see factory. It won't be exactly how it's shown in this video
