Hello I’m an HVAC tech from Austin, TX for those or for people in the future that might have the same issue, if 1234 or adding it to the the 4 digit number doesn’t work. Try looking at the S/N the first four digit is usually one digit bigger than the 4 digit code and that’s usually the base number you would use instead. For example if the four digit you found was 1990 and the S/N would be 1991, then you would add the 1991+1234 and that will be your pin, Hopefully that helps the others out.

Just had a hurricane knock out my homes electrical (east coast Florida) spent hours today trying to figure out how to unlock my Honeywell thermostat. As they say Stu Gots! Then found your video. BINGO unlocked it it 2 minutes. What’s funny is Honeywell support online and on phone had no clue! Would have had a bad night without your help. By the way my model is the T5 model. And its the actual number on the back of the unit. No math needed.

Tried adding 1234 to the number on the backplate as recommended - did not work. Called Honeywell Tech Support - told to add 2244 to the number - it worked! This was for the T6 WiFi model. Hope this helps!

Does this thermostat have a thershold hold setting.. so if you have the heat set on 70 the thermostat will go up to 71 before it kicks off and will not let the thermostat drop below 70 period???

Nice of it to display the PIN so any second you don't have it locked, someone can see your PIN once and be able to unlock it any time they want after that. Also nice that they don't let you change the PIN

If your pin+1234 does not work try this. Ex: 2121+1234=3355 does not work, try 3356 or 3354.
