This fan was from my childhood and I had memories of seeing one at a temple with remote, and some in store.

Nice find, I have this exact model. It's interesting how the stand is the only yellowed and brittle part of the fan, especially since I've seen ones where the body itself was yellowed as well, makes me wonder it was in a spot where only the stand got affected. I've had a soft spot for these myself despite the controls and noise level due to my late grandparents having an 18 inch model during my childhood as well as how uncommon they're becoming. My guess is that most of it is due to lack of maintenance, especially since it has those security screws on the motor.

It's got a really nice noise. I've got the 12" desk version with normal blades and the exact same motor cover. That hum is quite bizarre lol
@JordanU4 күн бұрын
I can only imagine the hum is introduced by the electronics controls, seems to be often the case.

@TinTran-c2t2 күн бұрын
@@Krispy80 Honeywell had made many versions of stand fans including this the quietset and advanced the mesh grilled double blade one and the one with the poles where you can turn it into a desk fan

I have the table model of this, the HT-12. It's decent for what it is. But if there was a way to disable that breeze "function", I would Using that function all the time would most likely be a premature death for the motor. As for that lot number sticker, moving companies would stick that on items that couldn't be boxed.
@JordanU5 күн бұрын
I agree, the constant on and off cycles is definitely a lot of wear on the motor.
