It's your typical HT-900 with the only thing that is new being the colour. Though these are not as powerful as the older Honeywell HT-800 fans, I still have immense respect for what they have accomplished.

Couldn't agree more! Honestly I think the HT-900 was the right move for Honeywell. Even though the HT-800 was more powerful, the noise level is unbearable in most household use cases. The HT-900 still packs a good amount of power for a small fan, while being more reasonable with the noise.

I agree! The coloured Honeywells were a pretty quiet release from a few years ago. The Target my parents stopped by had the blue, purple and orange, although Honeywell seems to offer these in a few more colour options. Blue was my favourite of the bunch lol.

There are a few other videos I saw on the colourful HT-900s, but those all seem to be the previous version of it that has a plain concave badge. Honeywell seems to have brought back the original badge design with the 5 dimples around the logo. So I guess you could say this video is the first one with this new HT-900.

I’m not sure if it’s colour specific, but the one I bought back in 2016 or so did have that smell.

Good video SuperFanMan the only ones sold out here in California are the black model and the white model only no royal blue ones but i enjoyed seeing this royal blue version of the fan.

Thank you. I was thinking about buying this fan, great review. How does it compare noise wise with the more expensive quietest series? Do any Honeywell fans use brushless motors?

It's a bit hard to compare, since the Quietset series fans are larger. For its size, this fan does really well, but the Quietset fans move more air with about the same noise level. Most Honeywell fans use AC induction motors, which are technically brushless, but they are not the same as DC brushless motors that found in newer fans that aim to be more energy efficient. Most fans with DC brushless motors will proudly tout about them on the box and on their websites.

Maybe, it looks like the blue used to be more of a pastel baby blue, but this one is more vibrant. I think there bigger model is the HT-908. Not sure if that comes in multiple colours.

Honeywell didn't really go crazy with the release of the coloured versions, so I think they flew under the radar for a lot of fan collectors. I'm pretty sure a few US retailers sell the coloured versions. Black and white still seem to be the most popular.

Yeah, I searched up the colors. Yeah they look ok but I am not a huge" fan" of the copper/orange color.

Same! I think the black HT-900s are still the most popular by a huge margin, so the coloured ones don't seem to be stocked as much.

Yeah I haven't seen these before either, but mainly because I'm in Canada, where the coloured ones aren't sold at all. I think only certain US retailers sell the coloured fans. Target being one of them.

I'm not too sure. I'd have to take a digital tachometer to it to obtain the exact number, but I would estimate a few thousand RPMs on high speed.

Duracraft and Honeywell fans were more or less knockoffs of Vornado's design. This air circulator design became a rising trend in the 90s and 2000s.

Did not know they did them in so many colours but those extra colours I do find it to be quite nicer looking compared to other modern fans. Even here you only really get them in black unless you get one from another brand, and even other brands like ansio I believe don't sell the white ones anymore.

I agree! Adding more colour options is such a simple update but can give the fan a nice new look. Black and white fans still are the most popular since they're more neutral.

Well it's hard to compare, since Super is now defunct. But in terms of fan selection and quality, Super's offerings were better than Honeywell's.
