Born and raised in Hong Kong, and I'd used to visit HKDL quite often before I left for Australia. Thanks for showing all the upgrades, haven't been back for several years now, so I haven't had the chance to see the new castle in person. The heat was surely unbearable even as a local, something I never got used to, and I was a bit traumatized by summer in Hong Kong. It was a bit of a shock to me that people actually love summer in Australia when I first landed here, but eventually, I get it. Summer in Hong Kong was just unusually brutal because of the humidity.

Hong Kong used to be a British colony if you remember so it’s quite easy for UK residents to get in and out. But you see a lot of English styled food on the street although it looks different.

Such an underrated park. Great attractions and shows. Not very busy as well I think is a big plus. I love Tokyo Disneyland but it is sooo busy. Hong Kong is nice and relaxed. Also the food is great in HK too! And there is a bit more English spoken. Glad you are enjoying it. It is hard to compare any Disney park to what Tokyo has to offer but I think each one has it's own reasons to visit. Get a UV Umbrella next time. That will help you beat the heat.

Oaken sliding sleighs is too short. Most people are complaining that the line is too long for a 30 second ride.

The celebrities appeared during the parade are some of the voice casts of the cantonese version of Inside Out 2 (they are the voice actresses of Joy, Anxiety, Ennui and Envy, and they were in the same colours as their characters), they were there to do promotion as there are also some Inside Out characters in the parade.

Take those tiny packable umbrellas when you're travelling to hot climates. You feel daft for a bit until you see peoples jealous faces. The shade helps so, so much. You can even get umbrellas with fans built in now!

Reason Japan prices are better is because Disney doesn't own it so you're not paying Disney fees. They're own by China & yet Hong Kong is owned by Disney. How that happened i have no clue but that's why prices are very different & honestly Japan Disney is best in the world & not owned by Disney.

I went just after world of frozen opened midweek hoping for shorter queues but looked like parents were taking kids out of schools to go thinking it would be the same. Frozen ever after was a 2 hour queue but worth it for my 1st version of it. The drop did have a bunch of kids crying on it, like you said bigger than you think. HK Disney gets busier in the autumn/winter as you say Charlotte, it’s a tad hot. Went during August once, what a mistake 😂

Sliding Sleighs is just too short!! They go to all the trouble of building the coaster, and beautiful mountain / hill, and couldn’t have added another 15 seconds of track length?!? Gorgeous Frozen land, shame Paris’ will only have 1 attraction!!

Watch out for what is called wet bulb weather. It’s when the heat is really high but at the same time humidity is over 50%. It creates the situation where literally there is too much humidity in the air to take any sweat away, it makes it so that no one can sweat at all. It’s been happening in Florida the past two weeks and hospitals are being filled with people who are overheated and can’t sweat. All you can do is duck into air conditioning and drink a lot. People have been avoiding the theme parks for this reason as it’s not as jam packed as usual.
