Hi! Did they give you the bill automatically after complete serving or you asked for it? I will be on a solo travel next month and planning to eat there. I am worried about the language barrier so I am really researching how to do even the small things like the bill so I won’t get lost and avoid people to get mad at me for being fool. 😅

Usually you ask for it but some places in HK will just put it on your table after you've finished ordering and then check items off from there. Then you take it and go upfront and pay. The scribble in the air with your hand move is pretty universal I've found, and they may direct you up front. I didn't have an issue in the city core with speaking English. In Asia, they seem to say "bill" instead of "check". I keep to keywords rather than full sentences if you're not sure if they speak English or not.

Hong Kong food is good. The food has its own taste which differs from traditional Chinese foods in mainland China..

😑Very entertaining. Having lived in HK, I have never heard of roast goose in a restaurant as "street food"; pig's intestines, cuttlefish on skewers, curry fish balls, and roasted sweet potatoes, conversely, yes. 2:20 HK of course consists of three regions, not two. You've missed the New Territories, which makes up over 85% of HK. 16:00 When eating meat from bones or large pieces of vegetables, using a spoon or bowl in the other hand helps. In polite company, taking food from the main dish straight to the mouth can be seen as uncouth.

Street food (in any country) is cooked, served ... from a 4-whhel cart parked next to sidewalk in OPEN AIR. Retaurant food (in any country) is cooked in a kitchen, served on table with chair by waiter, with knife and fork, or chop sticks ....ALL indoor.

For me i just go to Tai Hing. Better seating 😂 but no michelin 😂
