Terrible visa experience with HongKong. The biggest mistake I made was made plans to visit this terrible country. All non refundable tickets were booked, non refundable hotel booking done and they rejected the PAR, waiting on Visa approval for 14 days now. Schengen visa, UK visa were easier than this. I advise Indians not go to China.

The whole process of visa took around 5 weeks for us. We applied on 18 october, Got an email to submit supplementary documents on 15 november, we submitted on same day. Got VISA on 26 nov , Our flight was of 24 nov.

@ no. Fortunately i had been living in chennai for few years and had proof for my chennai address as well. So i changed my passport address to my Chennai address by reapplying the passport in chennai. So the passport issue place is chennai in my new passport and i got the PAR approved with the new passport details. I even went to HK and just came back.

I still got my visa refusal, after I appeal for reconsider my visa application they send me another reference number and send me link for send supplementary documents, but they don't mention any specific documents to submit, So I send my updated flight tickets, hotel booking and also the bank statements. After I submitted the supplementary documents I got a reply from them like "After careful consideration of all information made available and circumstances of the case, we can find no reason or justification for reversing our decision." they don't ask me to send any specific documents and also I send all their check list documents for applying visit visa even I gave all documents without they specify the documents they still says refusal still stands. I don't know why they are wasting Indian peoples money, time, efforts and many more. I asked them again if I needed to submit any other documents to grand my entry to Hong Kong. I asked them for 6 d days only. I visited many countries also I send all my visa in an out stamps while applying online. They are not saying any reasons always refusing entries and I don't know why they put PAR for Indian peoples and also they put an unsuccessful option too. If they are giving on arrival visa free for Indians means why they are putting an unsuccessful option to confuse peoples and wasting their time, efforts, money and many more.

Hi Sachin, please can you confirm how you calculate the validity of the visa. For example, if the visa is approved for 3 months, do 3 months starts from the time they send the email notification or from when you make the payment and download the visa? before three years ago i booked tickets and hotel and i paid when i applied PAR its unscccessful. That time i dont know about unsuccessful, i heard like its just a normal registration, once i paid and booked my tickets and hotel after a month i applied PAR online. i got unscuccessful, after that only i knew i have to send all documents offline to hk embassy. Then I approach with all hard copy and send to HK embassy offline it cost 2500 also send by fax cost 700 .then once received they asked me some another documents then i send by courier one time courier fee is like 2500, then after few days they asking again but i cant send documents because that time my flight date is near expire i cant change dates and its non refundable too also i explain about my booked hotel and flight tickets also dates, they wont care. So I finally give up.. i lost more than 30000. Yesterday before I applied PAR still its unsuccessful. even i put i visited four countries past three years its unsuccessful, I hope its because of the place of birth and place of passport issue. its really worst. Idk why HK says pre arrival registration for indians free but they having issues with unsuccessful. Its really worst.

If your PAR is unsuccessful for Hongkong and your ticket is booked. Dont think you can go to Macau with that ticket. I was told that I can go to Macau but that created additional problems for me ie I could not return to HK to take by return flight. It will take 6 weeks to get HongKong Visit Visa. It is not worth the hassel. HongKong does not provide any kind of help at all. I suggest you to drop plan to visit HK if PAR is unsuccessful. Also even if PAR is successful, immigration will create all sorts of issues to reject the PAR during immegration. ie any changes in PAR even slightest compared to Passport will be rejected. I will suggest you to not travel to HongKong. Do not make any bookings at all. Cancel all the booking etc. and plan for thailand or some place else.

Hi Sir, I have a one query. My PAR got rejected , so me and my wife both have applied for E-Visa. I have a plan of total 8 days inlcuding both Hong Kong & Macao I will be in Hong kong from 9 sep to 14 sep (6 days) then will go to Macao on 14th Sep and stay their one night and will be back on 15th sep to Hong kong. I have a flight back to India from hong kong on 16th sep morning My query is I heard that they only give E-Visa for 7 days. So as I am travelling to Hong kong (7 days) and Macao (1 day) for total 8 days. Though I have mentioned in my E Visa application the duration as 8 days . Bro what does it mean, on your visa that “valid for presentation on or before this date “? Actually same line is written on my visa and date they mentioned in 15th Nov 2024, But my departure is on 14th Nov and return is on 18th Nov, please confirm if it is fine for me? They have given me 5 days visa so I have planned from 14th to 18th Nov, but I am bit worried as they have written that it is valid for presentation on or before 15th Nov 2024 for 5 days
