If you want to know how the Empire ended, you mockingly snicker and Have no idea that the person who ended the British Empire was none other than the American Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It was FDR and the Americans that demanded the British agree to stop being an imperialist power as part of the principles of the Atlantic Charter, after which the Americans agreed to help them fight the Nazis.

It was wrong and sad to have the British rule left the HK. on that day i had such feeling. nowadays most many people have same opinions. British knew how to make things correct, appropriate, respectable, pretty. Thank the British, they saved and liberated millions of souls in the far east. LORD Patten introduced the music of Highland Cathedral to the HK people at that time. I knew and liked this music since that time. always remember the existence of the god, judge what is right and good.

Hong Kong people have no right to choose. The British had only two options: return Hong Kong to China or go to war. Deng Xiaoping was adamant that Hong Kong must be returned to China, and he instructed a large-scale military build-up outside Hong Kong. Delay or resist if the UK has an accident on handover day. The army will go straight into Hong Kong to kill all the British and even blow up Hong Kong to rubble.

hong kong was handed over because china had nukes, argentina has a barely functioning economy, 3 months of war would send them into into the whole.

Majority of hk people were refugees from Mainland China fled to HK to escape the Chinese Communist party, it proves that your government treated their own people worse than colonialist

Like Zimbabwe and south Africa and many evidences show that HK people are not suitable for administration of their own city. Beijing points a chief executive from mainland would be a better choice for Hong Kong.

Well African is completely different, with most of its population being uneducated and unlike in Hong Kong (95% of the people are educated) Hong Kong is far more richer in economy and intellectually superior than Zimbabwe or South Africa which is a mess rn. Bad comparison mate
