Excellent introduction to the Hong-Kong tramway system.

I really love travelling on trams. I am Hong Konger. 😃 Many thanks for your informative video. As a Hong Kong railway enthusiast I even don't know the history of Sharp Street depot which the land is now Time Square and the abandoned track connecting that depot to the happy valley loop.🤣👍

Nice video. I visited twice from Melbourne where trams are kind of our thing (we have some trams on the light rail up in the New Territories) and really enjoyed using these.

@@hiddenhongkong Yes, and the 3D text effects throughout the video is really cool too! Do you mind sharing how you did it?

You need after effects to do it. Here's the tutorial I followed: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaHcmKZqf8R2pZo

As a Hongkonger who lives in the New Territories, I rarely traveled on the trams of the Hong Kong Tramways.

Not to worry, I live 200 metres from a beach (in the UK), but rarely go there. Your thought mode is, I can always go there, so I’ll go tomorrow. Love HK, used to live in Stanley, wonderful area.

Excellent and informative video! Probably the nicest and extremely cheapest(!) public transport in the world! Why hurry, just relax, no it´s not fast. In general public tranport in HKK is the best you can find anywhere, but this tram all the way from Kennedy town is totally amazing. And in summertime, just transit and take the public bus to the beach, or leave at Central and take the ferry.

Back when My Parents are around *8 or 9 years old they have those single deck trailers (Restricted to only 1st Class Passengers) *1967 a year of turmoil in Hong Kong

@@hiddenhongkong here is an example of a 1st class Single deck trailer used between 1965 and 1982 gwulo.com/atom/19307 however due to frequent derailments, Fare classes going out of fashion and being uneconomical to run; they each required a separate conductor, they were abolished in 1982

not to mention the eventual abolishment of the conductor system when Coin boxes or Octopus card readers are installed in the front entrance
