@@gehrmansparr0w Kinda. Binding is the one that was the most difficult to face in the PE (not counting Finality obviously), so Otto made a deal with the Will of Honkai. Rather than becoming a "real" Herrscher, he was just given the Authority of Binding fueled directly by the WoH while also greatly restricted in how he could act (IIRC he used one of the Herrscher of Domination's cores to make the connection), then baited Kiana into using her Void powers to stop him so he could access the Imaginary Tree directly and save Kallen. So basically, Otto allowed them to "skip" facing a real Herrscher of Binding by gaining the Authority, then purposefully jobbing to simultaneously complete his goal of saving Kallen and leaving everyone else well situated to deal with future threats.

Izumo have 70,033 blades (ref GGZ total herrschers) and from them, they forged it again to make 12 Sentinel sword (ref HI3rd 13 Herrschers).

I can see how this war that had no true hope of resolving, which ended in mutual finality, essentially, just in different ways, of which, 'Acheron' pushed on despite the hopelessness and tragedy of things, would make her eligible to be made IX's emanator as she would, as the lone survivor of it all, strike at IX as the final blade holder of 'Life,' in a sort of meaningless act of rebuttal despite the lack of purpose that was left in the end. Binding could nullify other forms of energy as well, it was just best as nullifying Honkai energy. IIRC, the anti-Honkai field was automatic, while other stuff (kinetic energy, thermal energy, etc) was just dampened and needed some actual focus/tuning to fully nullify.

Just a note, Himeko was technically a Herrscher, since she developed a Herrscher core. We know this since it's stated in the story that the previous era Herrscher cores were stable, and were unable to make new Herrschers. That's part of the reason they made them into divine keys. However, in chapter 25, when Kiana touched the Herrscher of Fire's core that the puppets got from Himeko, it was able to influence her, and even allowed to become Herrscher of Flamescion. If it was the previous era's core, that wouldn't have worked. Also, the previous era's HoF core is IN Shamash. It literally wouldn't work without it.

The Vermillion Knight Eclipse suit was an experimental divine key created by Dr. Mei to channel the power of a Herrscher core through one's body, creating an artificial Herrscher that fights for humanity. When Himeko's consciousness went inside the Gem of Haste and claimed the authority of Flame from it, she became a Herrscher.

This also confirms that she is the Raiden Mei and Raiden Shogun of Honkai: Star Rail, and to an extent, that she did have something to do with Duke Inferno's supposed Death. Maybe she actually did Kill him while Constance, Katerina, Dubra and their Brother were out of the Mansion or something, Who Knows! All we know now is that the Duke was at least Possibly Killed by Acheron and that she might be After the Watchmaker's Legacy for time control or something! You can even see this moment at 7:25 of cinematic "Because of you", her standing on the ashes. And now, in Current Era she helded Vermilion Knight battlesuit, powered with Gem of Fire. She basically was at Herrrscher-level. Both times her demise were related to fire. And now, HSR. Her element, guess what, fire again. 13:48 HoB wiped like 70% of human population back at PE. It is in this final action that she condemns both planets to erasure by ultimately forging the Naught blade that causes the black hole to go unstable and wipe out both planets, ultimately making the war for survival pointless. Those she fought for did not survive, and those she fought against killed everyone and ultimately gained nothing. I would call it a pryrrhic victory, but that would assert the idea that both sides won equally when in reality both side lost everything and made their entire existence mean nothing, hence nihility. People wanted Acheron to be Finality, but Finality asserts the idea that there is a clear resolution where something dictates that there is an end. In Acheron's case, she seemingly gave in to accepting that there was no end at all because there would be nobody to cherish a budding result in the end. The line in the description “those who hold the power of kami are walking backwards, towards divinity” really does seem to spell out that Kami = Honkai in this context. That plus the abundant herrscher references makes it seem like Acheron’s world was subject to Finality/Terminus, though perhaps achieving victory at the cost of everything is what has pushed her into the path of Nihility. So although it does seem clear that Acheron does have a strong link to Nihility what with her animations, the self-annihilator lore, etc. It also seems likely that Acheron had or still has some connection to Finality/Terminus. One of the main reasons I say that is due to our first encounter with Acheron, where she seemed as if she already knew the events that were about to unfold, which doesn’t seem like something one would expect from Nihility, but could definitely fit with Finality. I’m very much looking forward to seeing her story develop, especially knowing that she’s supposed to play an important role all the way through 2.3! They must have some big plans up their sleeve still 💖

Honestly, I've always been in the finality train for Acheron but it's pretty much guaranteed to be nihility at this point which honestly just raises a shit ton of questions. Why does she remember the trailblazer if we never met? What's up with her experiences seemingly being reversed? Why does the memory zone meme share the eye on her blade and the eyes in her ult if one represents death and the other represents nihility? Why in the flying fuck was there so much imagery of death and predation in her previous trailer when nihility isn't about that? It honestly just raises so many more questions that probably don't have answers yet.

This made me more excited about Aeons and the twist they gave Acheron's story. Even though Nihility and Destruction sorta has the same end goal, they way they go about it is way different. The callback to the hershey's was nice, hopefully the Kiana Variant would be an Emanator too since Finality already has a representative in HSR lore.

Nihility and Destruction are not that similar actually. IX has no goal, as having a goal implies there is something it wants to do, but that's not the case. IX deems life and existence as meaningless, so what it does is just to sit there, letting the universe run its course, because it couldn't care less about anything. The danger here only comes if you get too close to it and its influence. Nanook on the other hand does seek out the destruction of the universe actively, not because he thinks it is meaningless, but because it is a mistake, and that all should return to the nothingness of entropy. So Nanook does want to destroy the universe, whereas IX wants nothing and is just severely depressed.

Bind is Binding, "It drove misfortune into a binding cage, for evil and demons to instantly vanish", this is likely referring to the power of Binding to weaken and destroy Honkai Energy (well technically all Energy, but specifically Honkai Energy). Likely specifically referring to the field passively created by PE Binding and the Zeroth Power of Oath of Judah (Elysion Pedion/Grace Field), with regards to what the "binding cage" is.
