We’ve made it this far, against all odds. We’re Landaus. We can do this. I believe in us, and…I believe in you.” Gepard scoffed bitterly. “You? You believe in me? Do you have the slightest idea what I’ve done? What I’ve become?” Lynx opened her mouth to reply, but was cut off as Gepard continued to speak. “Serval is gone. She’s dead. I’ve been having nightmares every night…nightmares of her dying moments, the carnage…the sound of that explosive going off rings in my ears endlessly, haunting me, driving me crazy.” His voice became strained, more distressed, more ashamed, more frantic. “Now look what I’ve become! I’m a murderer! I’ve killed people who didn’t deserve it, I’ve killed people who couldn’t even defend themselves! I’m supposed to protect people, and now here I am, slaughtering people like some kind of sadist!” Lynx’s eyes flitted across Gepard’s body, watching as his trembling hands began to clench and unclench with barely contained emotion. It was so much different from the calm and composed man she knew as her brother. Even in the midst of this mess, when they made their truce, he had seemed fine (as fine as he could have been, anyway). Had he really been hiding this pain and guilt up until now? “You are so, so much better than me, Lynx,” He continued. “Serval was your sister too, and yet, you’ve been merciful, kind, considerate. Even in your grief, you didn’t allow that loss to change your principles. You’re strong...truly worthy of the Landau name. I’m just a monster, a monster that doesn’t deserve to live by your side.” “No! No, that’s not true! I won’t let you talk about yourself that way!” Lynx shouted, tears welling up in her eyes as she too got emotional. “This game only has two objectives, to kill, and to survive! You had no choice but to become this way. These people…these people who put us here, they don’t care who deserves to live, they just want to see us die! They did this to you, Gepard, it’s not your fault!” “Oh, it’s not my fault? This wasn’t my choice…is that what you think?” Gepard inquired, as if challenging her. “Yes.” Lynx spoke without hesitation. “Then, who have you killed, Lynx? If we have no choice but to kill, then…who have you killed?” Lynx went to reply, before she suddenly froze. She…didn’t have an answer. Nobody had died at her hands thus far. She stared up at Gepard, her expression clearly conveying her inability to provide an answer to his question. Gepard stares back at her, his voice filling the tense silence. “Numby. Topaz. Misha.” “What…?” “I killed Numby, Topaz, and Misha. I almost got Welt too, but…he escaped. Do you understand now? The difference between us? I have ended people’s lives, and you have not. That’s enough proof that my actions were a choice.” He went silent for a moment, before continuing, his voice quieter, but still firm. “That’s enough proof that you’re better than me.” Lynx could feel her resolve crumbling as she scrambled to find a way to refute his statement. “B-But…but surely it was in self-defense, right…? Right?” He stared for a short while longer before shaking his head in the negative. He hadn’t been attacked first. He didn’t even do it out of obligation. He did it because he wanted to, because there was a sick part of him that had emerged that wanted nothing more than to see other people suffer for what was taken from him. To see people die the same way Serval had. “You…You really have changed,” Lynx mumbled, before her voice began to increase in volume. “But…I still need you, Gepard. I need you here. Even if you’re not the same, I need you, I love you, you’re all I have left! You’re my brother, Gepard! Nothing you can do will change that!” “I’m dangerous, Lynx! You should hate me, fear me, something! Something other than thinking I deserve to live after what I’ve done!” He yelled back at her, his patience starting to wear thin. Why couldn’t she get it, damnit?! Why wouldn’t she understand?! “NO!” Lynx screamed, so loudly that Gepard was stunned into silence. She repeated herself, quieter, but still just as firm. “..No.” Their eyes gazed into one another’s intensely, before Gepard’s narrowed in an emotion that Lynx couldn’t quite identify. He took a step forward, his voice lower, more threatening. “Do you need me to prove it to you? Do you need me to prove that I’m dangerous?” There was a flicker of fear in Lynx’s expression, before it hardened again. “Fine. Prove it. I know you wouldn’t hurt me.” She thought he was bluffing. “Yeah. That’s what I thought, too…” He murmured, as he walked closer, and closer, and closer. “Gepard…you wouldn’t hurt me…right..?” The silence after that sentence was spoken was ear-piercingly loud. “…I’m sorry.” Before Lynx could even think to ask what he meant, she was falling. Gepard stood at the edge of the cliff, his entire body quaking as he heard Lynx’s scream grow quieter, and quieter, and quieter, before it cut off completely with a loud CRUNCH. …Then she was gone. (I know I’m absolutely insane for writing this over such a stupid moment, but once I got the idea I had to do it. I hope you enjoyed the read, lmao.)

u have inspired me to recreate the 'xueyi killing off aventurine and fu xuan' moment. (credits to snowball7160 btw) (WARNING : MENTIONS OF DEATH AND VIOLENCE) A twig had snapped. Aventurine turned around in shock, abandoning whatever he was doing. "Who's there? Show yourself." Aventurine said, staring at the direction of the snap. The figure was standing under a tree, unrecognizable due to the tree's shadow. Aventurine stared for a moment, before squinting his eyes. The figure's bare knees were slightly visible through their socks, and their kneecaps looked like that of a puppet. Aventurine's eyes widened slightly, before sighing. "Oh, it's just one of those Herta puppets people have been spooked by." Aventurine whispered to himself, observing the figure. As he was analyzing the figure, he realized. "..Didn't Herta have a hat? And longer hair?" Aventurine got a little nervous, and backed away slightly. His expression contorted into one of suspicion and realization. This wasn't Herta. "Who are you? And why are you here?" Aventurine said, holding his left arm tightly to stop it from shaking. The figure scoffed, before speaking. "You don't need to know. All you need to know is that I'm here for your judgement." Aventurine's eyebrows furrowed slightly in confusion, debating as to what he had done that required him to need this 'judgement'. The figure suddenly started walking towards Aventurine, revealing themselves under the moonlight. Aventurine backed away again, before realizing. "*I've seen this girl before..*" He thought to himself. "Aren't you..Hanya's elder sister? What was your name again? Xueyi?" Aventurine asked. Xueyi maintained eye contact with him in silence, her red, mechanical eyes staring into his soul. "..What do you want?" Aventurine asked, his voice slightly shaky. Xueyi stayed silent, before replying. "..Foolish question. I thought you'd know by now, considering you immediately recognized me as Hanya's sister." Aventurine stared at her in confusion. "..What do you mea-" It suddenly clicked. The memories of **that** day. The way **she** had that cheery expression on **her** face when **she** was with him, that turned into one of confusion, and then one of realization and horror when he tied **her** to that tree to die alone, **her** screaming out the words 'please don't leave me here', and 'come back please' echoing throughout the forest. He recalled all those memories, before scoffing. "Let me guess, vengeance?" He'd ask, mockingly. Xueyi's eyes lowered in annoyance, and that's only when Aventurine realized she was hiding something behind her back. .. "**Your exactly right**." Suddenly, Xueyi pounced onto Aventurine, revealing the sharpened wooden dagger she was hiding the entire time, aiming for his right eye. Aventurine dodged at the right moment, but it had pierced under his lower eyelid. Aventurine backed away fastly, clutching the side that Xueyi had just scarred. His expression contorted to one of fear and shock, his left arm shaking vigorously. Xueyi's upper body was looking down, still holding the dagger. Aventurine turned his gaze to Xueyi, and that's when he realized how much hatred she had harbored for him ever since that day. Her glare was intense, and her eyes were as wide as they were when she had found her sister's rotting body, confined to a tree. Except they were more hateful and vengeful then sad and dreadful. Aventurine tried to run away, only to be grabbed by the head and thrown to the ground, landing onto his stomach. Aventurine's left arm was now shaking more then before, as Xueyi had him pinned to the ground, being right behind him as she walked up to him. He attempted to crawl away, but Xueyi kicked his foot, causing him to yelp and stop. Xueyi then landed onto him, as Aventurine slowly turned to her. Xueyi's eyes lowered in disgust and pity, examining him. "..I-" Before Aventurine could get the words out, Xueyi suddenly interrupted him. "Beg for your life." She said in a cold-hearted, emotionless tone. Aventurine's eyes widened in shock, his head tilting to her in disbelief. He was speechless. "..Did you not hear me? I said beg for your life." Xueyi repeated. Aventurine then gulped as Xueyi repeated, thinking of what to say. "*..This is a high-risk, high-reward gamble. I have to pick my words carefully.*" Aventurine thought to himself, thinking of what to say. Aventurine then put the words together, before opening his mouth to speak. "..Miss Xueyi. I know what I did was horrible, and my actions cannot be justified. But think of it this way. Would Hanya like it if you killed me? Think about it." Aventurine said, attempting to convince Xueyi otherwise. "I also knew Hanya well, and she hated violence. Heck, she even wished that anyone who has ever thought of putting their hands on someone else must go to hell. If you kill me right now, then you'll be no different from me." Aventurine said, nervously. Xueyi thought about it for a moment, before making a 'tsk' sound. "..Do you really think I care about what happens to me? If killing you leads to hell, then I'll be walking over those flames in pride. Your horrible at convincing people." Xueyi replied. "Goodbye." Xueyi then lifted the dagger up, ready to stab Aventurine in the head. Aventurine's eyes started becoming watery, before closing his eyes, accepting his fate. "MISS XUEYI." Suddenly, Xueyi's hands were stopped, and they couldn't move. "I understand your pains, but you don't want to end up like him." The voice said. Xueyi felt the dagger being removed from her grasp. Xueyi turned around to see who it was, before being grabbed by the collar and knocked to the ground. Xueyi's head turned to the person, and her eyes widened in surprise. "..Master Diviner?" Xueyi asked in astonishment. It was none other then Fu Xuan, staring at Xueyi in sympathy. "I'm sorry, Miss Xueyi, but killing this man won't solve your situation." Fu Xuan said, shielding over Aventurine. Aventurine stared at Fu Xuan in surprise, blinking in confusion. Fu Xuan turned to Aventurine, her expression a mix of disgust and sympathy. "I do not support your actions. But this killing game needs to end. Flee, while you can." She said. Aventurine nodded, before getting up and running away. Xueyi stared at Fu Xuan is disbelief and annoyance, getting up. "..What are you doing, Master Diviner? Why are you letting **him** escape?" Xueyi asked, still on the ground. "Because I don't want you to end up like him. Your better then this, Miss Xueyi." Fu Xuan said. Xueyi's eye twitched, before backing away and getting up, wiping the dirt off her clothes before turning to Fu Xuan. "..Are you serious, Master Diviner? He killed my younger sister." Xueyi said, her eyebrows furrowing. "I know, Miss Xueyi, but doing what this man did to Miss Hanya won't help you grow. You'll feel worse." Fu Xuan said. "..Are you kidding me? The only thing I'll feel after this is rightful and happy. Don't get it in the way of his judgement, Master Diviner." Xueyi said, her tone laced with annoyance. (ill continue this later)

Also, another word of advice, the way to *bold,* _italicize,_ and *_apply both_* to your text works a little differently in KZbin than in other apps! To bold, you add * (asterisk) on both sides without anything touching it on the outside (Ex: *this won’t bold because of the parentheses on the other side*), to italicize, you add _ (underscore) on both sides, and to do both, you add the underscore AND asterisk (in that order) on both sides. I noticed you trying to do that so I figured I’d let you know how!

Aventurine turned around in shock, abandoning whatever he was doing. "Who's there? Show yourself." Aventurine said, staring at the direction of the snap. The figure was standing under a tree, unrecognizable due to the tree's shadow. Aventurine stared for a moment, before squinting his eyes. The figure's bare knees were slightly visible through their socks, and their kneecaps looked like that of a puppet. Aventurine's eyes widened slightly, before sighing. "Oh, it's just one of those Herta puppets people have been spooked by." Aventurine whispered to himself, observing the figure. As he was analyzing the figure, he realized. "..Didn't Herta have a hat? And longer hair?" Aventurine got a little nervous, and backed away slightly. His expression contorted into one of suspicion and realization. This wasn't Herta. "Who are you? And why are you here?" Aventurine said, holding his left arm tightly to stop it from shaking. The figure scoffed, before speaking. "You don't need to know. All you need to know is that I'm here for your judgement." Aventurine's eyebrows furrowed slightly in confusion, debating as to what he had done that required him to need this 'judgement'. The figure suddenly started walking towards Aventurine, revealing themselves under the moonlight. Aventurine backed away again, before realizing. "*I've seen this girl before..*" He thought to himself. "Aren't you..Hanya's elder sister? What was your name again? Xueyi?" Aventurine asked. Xueyi maintained eye contact with him in silence, her red, mechanical eyes staring into his soul. "..What do you want?" Aventurine asked, his voice slightly shaky. Xueyi stayed silent, before replying. "..Foolish question. I thought you'd know by now, considering you immediately recognized me as Hanya's sister." Aventurine stared at her in confusion. "..What do you mea-" It suddenly clicked. The memories of **that** day. The way **she** had that cheery expression on **her** face when **she** was with him, that turned into one of confusion, and then one of realization and horror when he tied **her** to that tree to die alone, **her** screaming out the words 'please don't leave me here', and 'come back please' echoing throughout the forest. He recalled all those memories, before scoffing. "Let me guess, vengeance?" He'd ask, mockingly. Xueyi's eyes lowered in annoyance, and that's only when Aventurine realized she was hiding something behind her back. .. "**Your exactly right**." Suddenly, Xueyi pounced onto Aventurine, revealing the sharpened wooden dagger she was hiding the entire time, aiming for his right eye. Aventurine dodged at the right moment, but it had pierced under his lower eyelid. Aventurine backed away fastly, clutching the side that Xueyi had just scarred. His expression contorted to one of fear and shock, his left arm shaking vigorously. Xueyi's upper body was looking down, still holding the dagger. Aventurine turned his gaze to Xueyi, and that's when he realized how much hatred she had harbored for him ever since that day. Her glare was intense, and her eyes were as wide as they were when she had found her sister's rotting body, confined to a tree. Except they were more hateful and vengeful then sad and dreadful. Aventurine tried to run away, only to be grabbed by the head and thrown to the ground, landing onto his stomach. Aventurine's left arm was now shaking more then before, as Xueyi had him pinned to the ground, being right behind him as she walked up to him. He attempted to crawl away, but Xueyi kicked his foot, causing him to yelp and stop. Xueyi then landed onto him, as Aventurine slowly turned to her. Xueyi's eyes lowered in disgust and pity, examining him. "..I-" Before Aventurine could get the words out, Xueyi suddenly interrupted him. "Beg for your life." She said in a cold-hearted, emotionless tone. Aventurine's eyes widened in shock, his head tilting to her in disbelief. He was speechless. "..Did you not hear me? I said beg for your life." Xueyi repeated. Aventurine then gulped as Xueyi repeated, thinking of what to say. "*..This is a high-risk, high-reward gamble. I have to pick my words carefully.*" Aventurine thought to himself, thinking of what to say. Aventurine then put the words together, before opening his mouth to speak. "..Miss Xueyi. I know what I did was horrible, and my actions cannot be justified. But think of it this way. Would Hanya like it if you killed me? Think about it." Aventurine said, attempting to convince Xueyi otherwise. "I also knew Hanya well, and she hated violence. Heck, she even wished that anyone who has ever thought of putting their hands on someone else must go to hell. If you kill me right now, then you'll be no different from me." Aventurine said, nervously. Xueyi thought about it for a moment, before making a 'tsk' sound. "..Do you really think I care about what happens to me? If killing you leads to hell, then I'll be walking over those flames in pride. Your horrible at convincing people." Xueyi replied. "Goodbye." Xueyi then lifted the dagger up, ready to stab Aventurine in the head. Aventurine's eyes started becoming watery, before closing his eyes, accepting his fate. "MISS XUEYI." Suddenly, Xueyi's hands were stopped, and they couldn't move. "I understand your pains, but you don't want to end up like him." The voice said. Xueyi felt the dagger being removed from her grasp. Xueyi turned around to see who it was, before being grabbed by the collar and knocked to the ground. Xueyi's head turned to the person, and her eyes widened in surprise. "..Master Diviner?" Xueyi asked in astonishment. It was none other then Fu Xuan, staring at Xueyi in sympathy. "I'm sorry, Miss Xueyi, but killing this man won't solve your situation." Fu Xuan said, shielding over Aventurine. Aventurine stared at Fu Xuan in surprise, blinking in confusion. Fu Xuan turned to Aventurine, her expression a mix of disgust and sympathy. "I do not support your actions. But this killing game needs to end. Flee, while you can." She said. Aventurine nodded, before getting up and running away. Xueyi stared at Fu Xuan is disbelief and annoyance, getting up. "..What are you doing, Master Diviner? Why are you letting **him** escape?" Xueyi asked, still on the ground. "Because I don't want you to end up like him. Your better then this, Miss Xueyi." Fu Xuan said. Xueyi's eye twitched, before backing away and getting up, wiping the dirt off her clothes before turning to Fu Xuan. "..Are you serious, Master Diviner? He killed my younger sister." Xueyi said, her eyebrows furrowing. "I know, Miss Xueyi, but doing what this man did to Miss Hanya won't help you grow. You'll feel worse." Fu Xuan said. "..Are you kidding me? The only thing I'll feel after this is rightful and happy. Don't get it in the way of his judgement, Master Diviner." Xueyi said, her tone laced with annoyance. (ill continue this later)
