will you upload a fuller video comparing the magic v3 to the fold 6 this weekend? i'm in toronto and have been waiting to see your final verdict before making my choice, in the first video you seemed quite polarized to the fold 6 and allergic to the honor software on first impressions, has this changed with some use?

But on the Samsung only the inner screen can be used with the pen!! On the Honor both inner and outer screen can be used with the pen!

The biggest limitation of the Honor Magic Pen is that it does not have a cover with a specific housing. Carrying a pen separate from the smartphone is very inconvenient.

@fotoelba Ya I feel that. I'm kind of used to it at this point because I've been carrying a pen separately for my devices for years since the surface duo 2 when I couldn't find the pen case.

The Samsung s pen is my favorite the gestures are awesome and sketch to image is one of my favorite features of all time

You didn't cover the V3's Stylus settings. Similarly to how Samsung has it, Honor also has an instant note writing functionality. There's also spotlight function, though its more of a gimmicky thing in my opinion. Imo, the only reason to use it would be for turning pages, but I believe you can just reprogram the button to do that in normal mode via 3rd party app anyway.

I have the Z fold 6. I'm a pen and pad person, in any meeting I feel happy to just have my phone to take notes. And you can also record on Samsung notes. So far no regrets, I would have considered the Honor V3, but the lack of pen sucks for me. Imagine, I have to remember to charge my phone and also my pen. And going to the office, I would need to remember to bring my phone and my pen... That's not convenient for me

Why do they separate the typing and handwritten notes in the Honor? We can't use both in one? Samsung Note can.

I think it's more of like which mode you want to start in. I think you can type or use the pen regardless afterwards

I have the magic v3 and the pen works fine on the outer screen. But on the inner big screen, it seems less responsive and when i try drawing longer straight lines, it stops working and then i have to lift the pen and start again. It doesn't work continuously. Is this common?

I'm not sure if that's a common issue. I didn't experience that with mine.

@@JamaltLee its generally ok, more when you get to the edge of the screen on the notes app. If you try e.g making a long continuous zig zag shape, at some point the pen stops and then you have to lift it and start again. I am comparing it to ipad and apple pencil so in that regard apple pencil is miles ahead.

@@ShaiqShahMusic that's precisely my fear with the V3. I have a fold 4 (and had a Note 10+ before) and being an architect I use the s-pen all the time! I actually need it for work. Samsung's s-pen is to me the best experience I've had drawing on a device (and I've tryed the ipad with apple pencil and actually own a surface pro 9), so I'm pretty scared to migrate to the V3. If my only option is the z fold 6 I think I'll just keep my fold 4.

Can you migrate your notes from the Samsung app to the magic notes one? If so, do they migrate without losing information?

The only way to do that would be to convert your notes into pdfs. There's not really an official way to migrate your notes over.

@@JamaltLee got it! I've been on Samsung for some years now, had a Note 10+ and now a Fold 4. I use it daily with the S Pen for work, have most of my stuff in Samsung notes and although I'm really leaning on buying the Honor Magic V3, I go back to considering the Fold 6 because of software and s pen quality!

​@Jam-nv5gm there might be a way to backup to Microsoft Onedrive if you use that. I'm not sure if that would allow you to open the notes on other devices, though. The V3 is a really good device, but Samsung's software is undeniable still!
