They are for sure! I have this weird attachment to my OnePlus Open though... I know it's not as new as these tiny powerhouses just released but there's something about it that I can just let go of yet. I'm leaning toward the Vivo X3 Pro Fold in the meantime. But I do love the Honor V3's Crazy thinness!

I think it is important to have a ring or pop up to use a fold securely no matter which phone you have. there is no way to safely and securely use the devices and interface with it unless you are resting it on a table or your lap. People who are simply watching content may not need to. I use the spen for notes which the otther two do not have. I think a tablet function should have the ability to interface with a pen device for productivity and/ or ease of use. If the Vivo x fold 3 had a pen I would have made the plunge. Maybe the next iteration they will add it.

When comparing the z fold to the Chinese cover screens we should be talking the difference in width of the screens, aspect ratios, and screen area. Diagonal size doesn't tell the whole story. They could just make it taller to increase the diagonal measurement.

Only the global rom supports android auto in general. In this case, Honor magic v3 will be released globally in September which will support android auto while the Chinese version doesn't support it. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 support android auto. Xiaomi mix Fold 4 doesn't support it because it runs a Chinese rom with no global version.

From a tech standpoint, the vs is valid. The Chinese manufactures crush the Z fold 6. BUT if we look at value - cant beat the Samsung Z fold 6 - Price. The ZF6 if bought correct (and I mean with discounts) can be had for less than half of retail cost. I picked up the zf6 256g for around 900USD from Samsung online (EDU Store + Tradein pre order bonus). The Xiaomi and Honor Magic are easily $1400USD+. If it were purchased at retail - NO WAY ZF6 - but at 900USD it can not be beat on value - despite the shortcomings…

You can't really get a good comparison when looking at them all individually. Also, i do think the fold six has the best speaker set up out of all of them, but I didn't really hear you comment or give your opinion on that. I'm a long time fold user and want to switch, but i'm too concerned about wireless coverage with a chinese device. Being in IT, i'm heavily dependent on my mobile hotspot and don't think I can risk it. Samsung gives peace of mind. Perhaps I'll be able to have both one day.

Majority of KZbinrs and media when it comes to Apple 🍏: "Wow 😮 , the iPhone 13 Mini is the smartphone I've always dreamed of 😍 🤗, easy to use and tap with one hand 🤩🥰 👌🏽" The same youtubers and media when it comes to Samsung: "The Fold 6 is too narrow 😒😬, it's nonsense from Samsung😡😤🤬" And yet, the external screen of the Fold 6 is much wider than that of the iPhone 13 Mini, it is even only slightly less wide than that of the iPhones X/11 Pro by 2-3mm 🤷🏽‍♂️ For some the external screen of the Fold 6 is perfect, but, in my opinion, the external screen of the Galaxy Fold is still missing 2-3mm of width to be "perfect for everyone" (the same width as an iPhone X/11 Pro), a better main sensor, a 64mp sensor like the OnePlus Open/12 for zoom, 9-10mm maximum thickness, and especially, plus 400-500mAh of battery 🔋 capacity, on the other hand (apart from Huawei/Honor), the size (thickness) of the competitors' photo blocks is really too imposing, almost as thick as the smartphone itself 🤷🏽‍♂️ Ps: A Galaxy Fold with an external screen 3-4mm wider than the Fold 6 and with the same height as an S24 Ultra would be perfect, both for the ease of use of the external screen, and for the ratio of the internal screen which will be more rectangular than square. 🙏🏽

But let's never forget that if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be here having many choices on foldables and having these discussions and comparisons. Keep in mind that Xiaomi mix Fold 4 is China exclusive which means the software experience is pretty trash because a lot of things don't work. In general, phones like this one that runs a Chinese rom is not optimized to work in western countries.

Honor magic v3 is clearly the winner for two reasons, it has impressive specs and will be released globally in September. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 packs some next level hardware but it is China exclusive which means terrible software experience (ton of problems regarding the Chinese rom including most apps are not optimized for the inner screen beside other things that don't work that ruin the whole experience). Galaxy Z Fold 6 looks 6 years old lol. STAY AWAY FROM THE CHINESE ROM AND ONLY GET A PHONE WITH A GLOBAL ROM.

It seems to have the worst 4G/5G band support of any of the devices If that's not a problem for you though, it looks to be the best device of the three (the Vivo also has better band support, probably because the modem is the same in the Global version)

Samsung has NFC, while Honor & Xiaomi I'm not sure. Then, Samsung & Honor have desktop mode (something like DeX), while Xiaomi don't support it. I'm Samsung user, I'm thinking switching to Honor is more seamless, compared to Xiaomi. 😃
