Honor has got so many things, right with the Vs! Truly an impressive effort. The build design and finish are fantastic! I just hope that foldables become even more main stream and attainable. Thank you Sir Chris for another great review. ✌👍

Good camera, good screen, good speakers and good software. I think this is a fine alternative to the Galaxy Fold.

8:35 in general does dynamic 120hz or constant 90hz use more battery? because in dynamic mode most phones will switch to lower refresh rate when youre not scrolling

Dynamic will use a lot less but constant 120/90hz uses more.

Nice looking hardware on this, better than the fold 4 in terms of aspect ratio and hinge I think but not entirely sure what's happening with some of the cameras on these foldables. You are getting charged a premium price tag for the folding design but then they seem to scrimp on basic camera features. Oppo N2 flip has the same issues. Poor ultrawide, no OIS, no 4k video etc etc. Seems odd that these foldables are marketed as premium devices but the cameras are mid range.

Agreed. Even the very expensive Huawei Mate V has less than interesting cameras fitted. I have a Fold 4 and just ordered one of these. Be intersting to see how it compares with the Samsung and indeed my Mate 2 X2.

I'm not 100% sure sorry as I've only test this global version. You could have issues installing Google Play store so double check that first.

@@Techtablets At this moment their website only sells the unit to China. The UK site is accepting requests for notifications for when the unit is available. North America is not on their distribution list. North American buyers will have to order from other areas. But not yet.

Was going to import the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, but then saw the Honor Magic VS is getting a global release, got excited and decide to wait for it. And now they’re saying UK release in June without sny orher dates?? WTF? What’s the point in releasing it close to a year after it was released in China, and almost right before the Fold 5 will be announced? What can possibly take them so long that they won’t start selling them here earlier? From the leaks it seems the Fold 5 will take care of most of the problems people were pointing out, and with the Honor being just slightly cheaper I can’t see it doing well in EU… Guess I’ll just get the Mix Fold 2 anyway, after waiting close to two months for no reason…

Mix Fold 2 hardware is nice but I found the software for the foldable was lacking. Maybe with OTAs it has improved but I ended up selling mine.

None at all. And after trying a standard non-folding design (the Magic 5) even with its brilliant camera, I went straight back to Fold design.

Hello Chris, greate review. And what about display out on usb typ-c. It's only screen mirror or Honor has some desktop mode ? It looks like nice phone, but Honor kills it by that price tag, with last gen chipset (not a big deal for me), no OIS, it will come to market late to compete with the Z Fold 5. Too many compromises for that high price.

Generally good foldable device but zooming is bad with no details for this number of camera sensors.. And night shot not good But overall really Excellent review as always 🙏

Main cam night shots suffer somewhat due to the lack of OIS you have to hold it very still something I struggle with. My hands aren't the steadiest.

You would to send it in no local service center 1 hour turn around. I've only had it a few weeks now so really I can't say but i don't see why it wouldn't last a year I'd not more. After no stylus is pressing against it.

Honor is a great phone but in a few months we get z fold 5. I have recently sold my z fold 2 software experience which was great.

Lack of stylus support and no desktop mode are the only things putting me off this phone. The aspect ratio of the outer screen on Z Fold 4 means that's not an option for me. Doesn't seem to be a foldable out there that ticks all the boxes at the moment.

I will advise u to try first at any outlet which has a sample phone as the display before u make the wrong decision on buying. I tried both and Magic Vs is my selection.

Yes June and the pricing was a bit of a shock we don't know this info until everyone else. We have to guess the pricing which my guess was 1300 euros. As for the launch I thought it would have been next month at least.
