I don't think I can go back to a non-foldable phone after this.. Still on the Fold 3 since the 4 and 5 didn't have enough upgrades I wanted for me to upgrade.. hoping the 6, or maybe another foldable from another brand will step up. The 3 is still going strong though 💪🏼

2000-2010 - Flip phone era with physical keys 2010-2020 - candy bar style, bigger, brighter display era 2020 - 2030 - the foldable display era 🔥 And I'm all in on foldables becoming the norm in the coming years. Our grandma's will have a foldable phone eventually lol

I like how the hinge enable multiple angles when open. It will enable multiple functions with such multiple angles capabilities. I also like the floating app feature which work together with the portrait and landscape view of the dual apps functionality. 😎💯👍

Well balanced video and agree with the conclusion that the price difference is not great enough compared to Z fold 4 to recommend. Dont forget Z fold 5 is only a few months away and will offer improved lay flat hinge while being waterproof and having wireless charging.

We're still waiting for a balanced foldable and this is no different to the ones out there.... So much promise but so much own goals from honor... Almost 8" when open but unable to use the entire display for videos, that's just sad 😓....

I'm waiting for Samsung to have a bigger outer screen. I have the fold for it, and I hate using it because of that, plus a Spen and better cameras are involved.

In the UK, the expected price is £1399, which is £250 less than the Fold4 launch price, so the Honor seems reasonable value-wise. Of course, sales of the Fold4 have fallen off a cliff, and Samsung is now giving significant discounts to try and sell them, but even then, I would wait for the Fold5 in the hope it finally gets some innovation. My use case would be around 60% on the front display, so Honor smashed the Fold for usability for my subjective needs with its broader, more normal aspect ratio. That is as far as I need to go, as that is my main prerequisite (the OPPO Find N2 sadly has no global release, but that is another good choice). It is nice to know that its cameras look at least on par with the Fold4. Not everyone is a selfie fanatic, so the "issue" of no rear camera shutter is moot, as is the s-pen, and as Samsung still has no s-pen silo, that is no big deal. A choice of superfast charging or wireless charging, the former every day. Water resistance in a phone like this is a so-so feature as you still have to be careful as neither has dust resistance. A 15% larger battery than Fold4 is a bonus, and the design seems more modern compared to the 1980s vibe of the Nokia Communicator of the Fold4. Well done Honor!

Also pretty sure the Galaxy Fold will get much longer software support (a subject that doesn't get enough attention in reviews like this). Honor got the aspect ratio of the cover screen right, though.

Meh, Samsung's Fold and Flips seem to have much more sturdy hinges that keep up the screen in place, have water proofing and less software bugs.
