As a transmale member of the discord, I love how inclusive you guys are. I had alot of anxiety about being part of such a stereotypically masculine path but you guys have made me realize it's not all about that. Thank you and hail the folk, hail the gods! I understand her viewpoint on always being in generally male oriented interests, completely. I was playing Dungeons & Dragons in the 80s and 90s when that was mostly guys playing and it was also considered satanistic by some. I took up pistol shooting, targets only, in the 00s and you guessed it that also was mostly male-oriented. Women weren't cut out they weren't blocked out they weren't not allowed at any of these they just didn't seem to have an interest. So of course I now also seem to never exactly look for females as friends and entirely female groups I kind of shy away from. Not intentionally I don't hate them or anything it's just I've always gotten along with guys better. Mind you I am definitely female. And yes a follower of Loki.

I love your podcast style videos the most, and obviously listen to your podcasts too and enjoy them tremendously! The most recent one I listened to was about pagan patenting, and I was tearing up a few times, not gonna lie. Everytime you say the words 'lets not get too deep into this' I just hope you go deep anyways, as there is so much more to discover and I hope in time you'll come back to the topics in more depth, I honestly cannot wait 😁

It's a shame that your martial arts instructor didn't work out. I have found in my 30 plus years of various martial endeavors that most Christians don't fully understand the deeper truths of martial arts ( both western and eastern) because of their respective pagan influences and philosophies. I could compare megingjord to the hara of Japanese systems ( megin vs ki ), or how Norse Glima really influenced Greco Roman wrestling ( a title coined in 19th century France to replace Norman and Finnish wrestling). Anyway, if I was there I wouldn't charge a thing for my instruction, just a great exchange of ideas over some good mead.

Hey I need some advice I’m a 12 years old I have been a Norse pagan for about 7 months now and I hope every one is fine about me saying this but some Christians have been telling and telling me to become one so I did for a while and I had a moment where there was a Norse pagan music on and I felt energy behind my shoulders and it brung me back to a moment which I didn’t recognise and I did at the same time but I am now a Norse pagan again I’m now 13 is there any advice or a video for some advice

You cannot be honoring sacred masculinity and femininity while letting people choose which gathering they will be attending. It is no longer sacred if it is not intrinsic to you and the universe. Ancestors mean a lot to those practicing the ancient European faiths and those practicing the ancient Germanic faiths believed that such acts brought shame and dishonor to one's family. If you don't believe me then read Tacitus and how people's acts that were shameful, such as men acting feminine, were thrown into bogs as a way to hide and extinguish their "sins." If this community is going to help men and women then we need to help men become better men and learn how to direct that masculine energy into building a better life for themselves, their families, and their communities. While at the same time, women should learn how to become better women by accessing the huge capacity women have to nurture, socialize, and build bridges between families and within society in ways then men are less likely to do. This does not just mean traditional roles in work and home care but how you act and react to what life throws at you. Men and women are different, the whole reason you split things up into these different retreats. We need to teach one another to be content with how we are born and to embrace that identity wholeheartedly by teaching our children the beauty of both the masculine and feminine. The strengths of one sex makes up for the weakness of the other sex and vice versa. If we were all the same on some spectrum then we might as well be amoebas or flatworms that can change on a dime but that isn't who we are and isn't who our ancestors were.

It appears to me you are stuck in the past. We live in 2021 there are trans-gendered people, you cannot avoid this by ignoring it. I would much rather help someone than to deny them. If someone says they are a trans-man, that's fine come hang out with the guys and become better like the rest of us. No matter what you say or do there will be trans people. You can either man up and accept that. Or continue to be a boy stuck in the past wishing for the "good old days"
@brandonm93783 жыл бұрын
@@TheWisdomOfOdin That's so disappointing Jacob, I was hopeful that you were someone who stood out in a sea of neopagan modernism. It seems that very few are truly willing to embrace the morals and values of our ancestors. I'm surprised you brush off the old days with such disregard, as if this faith is not a faith of ancestors. I've been watching you for over a year now and I guess this interaction is why they say don't meet your heroes. You were willing to spend the time to comment and it is unfortunate that you had to be so hostile. I offered no offense and we should all be open to debate but not if there will be ad hominem attacks. I will not be peer pressured by the trends of the current year, these trends of what is acceptable to our modern society will continue to change. Will you just change your morals when society tells you what to believe? I refuse such notions, and anyone that wishes to preserve their honor and integrity would do the same. What I was hoping was a shared faith and path this community was on would not be led astray by modern political trends from those willing to sacrifice the deeds and true progress of those who have come before us. Men and women are different and forever will be different. No amount of medical technology will truly be able to defy nature. If you can't see that modern critical gender theory has been an absolute disaster for our civilization then it appears you have no notion of there being universal truth. Any person of faith has to believe that there are some concrete facts out there and the nature of man and woman is one of those. I won't accept the physical harm and mental despair that this world is trying to impart on my children or our society's children by telling them to deface their bodies and subject themselves to dangerous levels of hormones. As you wait for society to tell you what to think or embrace next, there will be those of us who are still on the same path your ancestors travelled. In 20 years, when Musk's Neuralink has been standard for a decade, I assume you will say that we should all "man up," and get the implant instead of being stuck in the "good old days." I will likely still follow the channel but its unfortunate that there will forever be this cloud tainting my perception of it.

@@brandonm9378 I observe with my own eyes, while I do cast aside much of the rhetoric being pushed on us because my own eyes have proven these things to be false. I cannot deny that my own eyes have met people who are trans, and they are good people and believe full hearty in who they are. I cannot deny what my own eyes see, and they are the only things I trust.
@brandonm93783 жыл бұрын
@@TheWisdomOfOdin Yet a Germanic pagan from 1000+ years ago would come to a different conclusion. This isn't a matter of liberal versus conservative as modern conservatives are just the liberals of 10-20 years ago. Both groups accept an ever shifting ideology and moral framework. This is essentialism versus constructivism. Unless you see things from an essentialist viewpoint, universal and moral truth cannot exist.
