People will send food back for ANY REASON in the real world so they gotta get used to it. The customer probably didn't have an actual issue with the temperature cause it still tasted good, the waiter just probably was checking in and he probably mentioned it casually, like, "Oh everything is good, I just wish my food was hotter." And then, they just took that opportunity to make it a teaching moment for the home cooks because it is a competition and they need to be able to handle, what is thrown at them, regardless of how big or small the issue is, because they( the customers) are the ones who pay for your livelihood.

I was ready to bash this video Because 95% of them have nothing to do with "Canadian" cooking Many Canadians have no idea what we have to offer as Canadian cooking to any other country other than making common dishes example I made Moose steaks with wild blueberries in a ice wine sauce , Whipped potato's garlic and butter/cream Slivers of cooked carrot over top A hard meal to do because Moose does not cook like beef or has the same taste I was impressed they used a few Canadian grow products I mean it's not a Tourtière But least they are trying to bring Canadian forms of cooking on the map ...$550 is like buying a Swiss army knife to cut your toe nails ..

She really just have a strong authoritarian figure when in comes to who is in charge, due to military background; so when she is in charge she feels like there are heirarchiral figures just like ranks in military. Ofcourse its a bad thing cuz in that environment, you can't just give commands to everyone like its all drill trainings. Out of that she is indeed a great cook.

I feel you. I also don't like boiling hot soup because it burns my mouth and then I can't taste anything. But, having worked in restaurants for a number of years, liquids lose temp quite quickly because as you can see the bowls are quite big, so that's more surface area exposed---air is the enemy of everything in a restaurant; it warms cold stuff, and it cools hot stuff and it makes drinks flat and creates a skin on the food. Also, the last spoon full should also be hot (if people are drinking their soup at a reasonable pace and not nursing it for like 30 minutes).

Wow, that place looks fantastic. Never been, but I do have a tangential anecdote: Many years ago, I used to be a security guard in the financial district of Toronto. Specifically, I worked in the TD Canada Trust Tower. Kitty-corner to where that building is located is another skyscraper named the TD Bank Tower, which is part of a whole block of towers called the TD Centre, which also includes the TD North Tower, TD South Tower, TD West Tower, and a couple of other smaller structures. It's fairly confusing, and I don't know why they couldn't have named them all something a little more distinctive from each other, but there you go. Anyway, it's the TD Bank Tower in the TD Centre where the Canoe restaurant is located, _not_ the TD Canada Trust Tower. All this to say that it was a quite common occurrence for would-be diners to come into my building asking where they could find Canoe, and I'd have to explain they were in the wrong location and that they actually had to cross the street to get to where they wanted to be. Many patrons were very polite about this mix-up and happy to receive proper directions. But let me tell you, you wouldn't even begin to believe how many people simply would not accept this fact. Some were simply slow to realize that the towers in question were two separate places, but many more outright refused to acknowledge a mistake had been made. They would get insistent that they were in the correct place, and quite a few would perplexingly accuse me of lying right to their face. As though Canoe actually was here, but for god only knows what reason, I just didn't want to tell them. There were some who demanded to speak to my superior to complain about my alleged unwillingness to help, and even a few who decided to take the elevators up on their own to try looking for a restaurant that just wasn't there. I could only wonder how many of the 50+ floors they checked out one after another before finally descending and deciding that maybe, just maybe, I might have been telling the truth after all. This was made extra hilarious by the fact that Canoe is located on the 54 floor, and the building I worked in only had 53 floors. After finally being forced to concede defeat, they'd of course just bolt out the doors without so much as an apology. And the insults these people would hurl at you, too....it was incredible to see these supposedly well put-together high society class of people use language that would put the most foul-mouthed grade-school kid to shame. Now, I don't want to unfairly paint the entire upper-class white-collar business-people of Toronto as all being snobbish, conceited, condescending, entitled, and downright rude. I have found many of them to be perfectly agreeable, very pleasant folks. But regrettably, it has also been my experience that a great deal of them genuinely believe themselves to be so utterly above reproach that it literally isn't possible that they could make a simple mistake, like getting the wrong directions off Google Maps for instance. Not to sound over-dramatic, but I must say, working that particular position in that particular area of town, I on a daily basis was treated like a second-class citizen. I love downtown Toronto, really I do, but I sure don't miss that job.

rizzo69ca I never mentioned anything about the video correlating to me in any way or form, it’s your personal interpretation and misreading of my comment. Bone marrow is a delicious delicacy many enjoy, but are quite difficult to eat at times, henceforth becoming a competition to find them in my family. I’m not inserting myself in this video, I’m sharing a personal experience. There is a difference. As for punctuation, is the current structure of my sentences sufficient? I apologize for anonymously showcasing excitement in the internet 😒
