I know you said not to quote, but you got the scale the wrong way round. Here’s an outline for anyone that’s confused: A - lowest protection rating, eg urban riding kit AA - higher rating AAA - generally reserved for leathers All has to do with abrasion resistance on certain different zones across the garment (eg slide time on calves can be lower than slide time in hip area) Impact properties - eg armour - are rated either level 1 or 2, with level 2 offering the higher level of protection Hope this helps!

Oops you had the grading back to front AAA is the top level. With 4seconds abrasion AA is designated 'touring ' with A as for urban riding
