Now's the time of year when I hear these birds and other similar calls at night during their fall migration up here in CT. March is the other month when I hear the same calls at night during their spring migration. Warblers, White-crowned Sparrows, and White-throated Sparrows are the most common birds I hear making single flight calls at night during migration.

I saw a strange bird at the feeder just yesterday, looked like a double big wren in color and face with ruby chest and kind of mockingbird notes in yellow on wing plumage. Screen door was in the way for a good picture. I need to set up some cameras out there with bird detector triggers..
