In the past two or three months I've been watching a lot of birding videos mostly because of my cat. So I've watched many videos from many different channels but I will say without a doubt, undisputed your videos and your channel are the best! They are the cream of the crop! I've seen your video by the way over a year ago which I thought was the most interesting video on birds I'd ever seen which was the birds bathing in a little mountain stream like or Forest Stream I forget the exact name of it but it was very very much viewed by your viewers. And in this video when it got to the part of the Cardinals which are my favorite backyard birds by the way feeding their young that's when I hit the subscribe button! Not only that I love how you name the birds because that kind of information is pretty rare and you do it on screen which is much better than just listing them like some others do. Thank you for these wonderful videos and all of the work that you do! 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️ Just noticed my second comment from 2 years ago below. That's absolute proof that I love your work!😁

The past few years I have missed seeing these lovely creatures and missing their voices as well. You have brought back these delights in one hour of watching. I cannot believe how many I have forgotten. I join in the sorrow of losing so many in such a short time. At ninety years of age I must admit MY younger years I spent time watching the different breeds wherever I was at the time but most times as they were plentiful I would take them for granted and listen only to their happy songs. I have always tried in more recent years to put food and water out for them without guidance from anyone as I never met any bird watchers.I hope to stay around and enjoy what you observe and hear and if I find ways to help I will. A difficult chore as most people around me try to kill anything that they think is harmful to their way of life particularly the farmers.

I live in NC and have recently taken an interest in birds, I installed a feeder outside my kitchen window, had to get a seed catcher because I didn't realize birds could be so picky about birdseed, and so messy! I'll have to try some hulled birdseed. Lately the squirrels have been a nuisance, sent away for a squirrel baffle to keep them away, hope it works. But I love watching the birds at my feeder--cardinals, titmice and chickadees predominate, followed by house finches, goldfinches, bluebirds, little brown birds I can't identify--possibly Carolina wrens--and a red-bellied woodpecker (I call him Woody) drops by once in a while, causing the other birds to scatter. Woody just pecks away, flinging the seeds he doesn't like over his shoulder. The titmice & chickadees fly up, grab something they like, then fly away to it eat. The cardinals & brown birds hang around. I especially love the cardinals, they're so colorful. I hear robins & blue jays nearby, but I never see them & they never come by the feeder. I never thought I'd see the day when I'd be interested in identifying birds by sight & sound, but it's really fun!

I listened to mourning doves for years on end, never knowing the bird. We heard it when we went camping, especially. Walks to the bathroom in the mourning, it’s comfortably cool, and you hear that dove’s call. My sister asked me about the call a couple months ago, but she couldn’t mimic it. We listened for about 20 minutes before we heard it and she told me “That one. Remember it?” and it brought back every memory. I spent the next two hours that morning, trying to find what bird it was. A sound I hardly ever noticed, and now it catches my full attention. Turns out, a lot of them live in and around the very small city in which I attend school. So I’ll be in spanish, and the windows are open, I’ll hear it call

I only get to go 1 time per year but boy do I love it. We go out side and my grandpa make a cheese board. And we sit out side and just relax and listen to birds. Hi there, thank for creating such an amazing and very informative bird video. You have put forth a great deal of detail. You invested such a great amount of time, love and passion in creating this backyard birding video that is mind blowing. I just stumbled upon your video as I was looking up pigmy owls. Now I can put a large array of bird calls to their beauitful little faces. Just love them so much. This video is so soothing to watch. And the photography is awesome and your cameras capture the little soft down and individual feathers as well as the baby birds open mouths. That great-horned owl is a hoot and spectacular. They all are so sacred and precious. Thank you so much.

Best bird video I've seen yet, thank you so much for the information. Hearing a variety of calls for each bird was very helpful, as was the recommendation for white millet and bird baths to attract painted buntings!

I had to laugh when you said that wrens "accept small nest boxes." My late father found a wren nesting in his work shed -- in a box of *nails*! She came back every year. Thanks for the memory!

Love this video! This year I begin watching my backyard birds in earnest, trying to learn their names and calls, putting in bird boxes and feeding stations around my new house.

I love watching the birds at my feeding station with my cat and studying their little quirks and how they feed and what they like! I’m always testing my knowledge on them and sometimes I can’t quite decide what they are, thank you for this video!

My mom has birds living on top of the porch. They are so comfortable that they even fly pass her when she's outside.

I have a pair of wrens who set up housekeeping in my tea pot, turned planter. They are VERY vocal. I did not not know what they were, until your video. Thank you.
