something I wanna add on top mega meganium has misty surge as its main ability. its innates are forest rage (an amplified version of overgrow), absorbant which makes draining moves recover 50% more hp as well as applying leech seed on the target, and then triage.

btw, the reason that furret was doing insane damage with headbutt is because its considered a field move. any attack that could be used out of battle, not just hms, get a boost from field explorer

i definitely understand the information overload of looking up all the stat/ability changes at once, but id def recommend looking through all the move changes. Things like the sonicboom change and rollout. they did some really creative things that GF should take notes from because its stuff other RPGs have done before, i.e. sonic boom and air cutter.

Hey - I went through the same health journey at your age (I'm 30) and it is an amazing experience. Biggest tip is walk 10-12k steps every day. The best way is to have some kind of smart watch to track your steps (fitbit apple watch etc). 12k steps might seem like a lot but break it up into small chunks and make it a game for yourself example: fight a gym leader then walk for 15min. Also maintain a caloric deficit and prioritize high protien food. 1g of protien for every lb of body weight. I hope this helps

I don't find this game difficult - but that's just me! I can't get past Giovanni 1 in radical red hard mode, so I'm by no means good at pokemon...maybe it's how we approach battles. For me, battles are puzzles to overcome- I take it bit by bit, solving each pokemon and retrying over and over

It just hit me that Hidden Power in this game works pretty similarly to Tera-types, which made me think... what if that's what Game Freak is gonna do with Tera-types after Gen 9? I mean, Hidden Power was scrapped from the main games in Gen 8, and Tera Blast has kinda filled a similar role in Gen 9, just with the additional type-change. Assuming the type-changing won't stay in Gen 10, they could still keep Tera-types and Tera Blast, just perhaps with less power on Tera Blast, since even though it'll be losing the additional stab-boost, it'll still be 20 points stronger than Hidden Power was.
