Thank your the honesty. Seems to be the same issues with these. I sold my bonafide. It was huge. I’m trying to decide my next kayak. I still may go with hoodoo
@orbnitsky3 жыл бұрын
One thing most do not mention (and I a am not sure this is the case everywhere) the yak comes with Peddle fins or propeller, Paddle, seat (and a dern good one at that) in my case, a fish grabber, a Line Cutterz line cutter, and an excellent quality, floating net. Most folks buy the best base car or house and even a yak they can and the other extras (necessities in the case of yaks) paddle and seat. It is also equipped with an anchor trolley which can easily cost 300-400 more! You are almost good to go right off! That pushes the 120P way above the others in my mind... and budget. Then of course you will have to get bait bucket, crate or whatever, ice chest or fish keeper, and tons of other items that depends on the tastes and budget of the owner. I do not think they could have included such things because some would consider the accessories more or less than what they want. Great combination imo.

Yeah when I ordered mine I added a few extras...but over all it comes ready to roll!!! One other thing I may not have really talked on is to be sure to tighten all the bolts, for anyone who mY ready this comment!!

Hey bro I researched for a year, for a 120 PDL, atlest 34inches wide. But I also knew I wanted a drop down toe control rudder system, storage, deck padding, a decent starter paddle. Reading the tempest 5 star reviews, and noticed the 46 lb thrust trolling motor, that's OEM factory fitted. I chose the Blue lagoon hoodoo tempest Hybrid. Because I wanted to leave room for other accessories. Batteries, FF, Storage crate, landing gear etc. I do have the fitted cockpit motor, with my bixpy J2 rudder attached jet motor. I use the bixpy on halph speed, from spot to to spot, or the trolling motor spot to spot, and paddle around my spots. I fush very large lakes, and reservoirs. Love my vessel, and see no reason to upgrade. I did like the Impulse 10.5, because you can add the Torqueedo 1103, but glad I didn't, with all the drive issues. My PDL when I take it with the bixpy, is amazing. Boat arrived without a scratch. CS A+1. Good luck, be safe bro.🤟🎣🙏

@@fishing4happiness610 the kayak has probably the worst drive systems on the market. My main issues had to do with the pedal system. Also I had 5 small holes in the hull. Other than the issues, it’s a nice setup. I can stand and fish as long as I want, and there is plenty of room for gear. Definitely want to look into getting a keel guard and other bottom protection. I feel once they get there pedal systems better, they will be doing well. Good luck brother
@fishing4happiness6103 жыл бұрын
@@steele5048... Thanks for the update. I ordered the fin drive, is the problem inherent in both the fin and the prop? Also, what keel guard are you going with? I'll probably go with forming one out of of PVC. I'm glad you find it stable because there are NO reviews and I really hoped to be able to bowfish and sight fish out of it and was skeptical about stability because it was narrower than the competition. I wanted it stable, yet narrow as possible to still be able to paddle it. Thanks again for the information!
@steele50483 жыл бұрын
@@fishing4happiness610 i believe they already fixed the fin drive issues and have a gen 2 model out so you should be good I would guess. If I’m in an open lake or flat I will loosen the seat, slide in back and you have a decent size platform. When the seat is in the highest position it is very easy to stand up. Most of the time I don’t move the seat though, just stand in the room that’s there. I bought the gator patch keel guard so far but need more for the rest of the bottom I want to protect. The gator patch is really expensive for the size you get. So I’m looking for a cheaper alternative to basically cover the whole bottom

@BASSnBEER2 жыл бұрын
Not a very heavy kayak compared to others bone stock!! There should be a bungee cord that runs through the pole of the seat.....you will slide the riser on and run the Bungee through the seat riser and tie a knot on each end.....and the front risers will attach to the track mount...... I moved my oldest son & his daughter back into my house when covid hit because my son is job had closed down for a while & I did not want my son & my granddaughter stranded out in the street so my money is a lil bit more tied up now. I never thought about the financing part I like that. I do have 2 question though? I haven't heard about the weight capacity on this kayak I am a big chubby guy at 300lbs. Will it hold me being this big? #2. Do you know how wide the pedals are on this kayak? I have big very very extremely wide feet sz15 6 EEEEEE wide with very chubby fat wide toes that are equally straight across making my foot very very wide at 6 " inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe & with my toes being straight across it makes my foot keeps falling off the Pedals because of them Being so wide.
