Great playing! What tips could you give to someone who wants to start learning Banjo, and claw hammer?
@lachlannmullin2 жыл бұрын
Grow your nails as much as possible, and try to learn the "kentucky shuffle" it adds depth to your clawhammer technique. I may post a video that instructs folk on how to do that.

your playing is top notch, the vocals were mixed a bit low in comparison to your "dying mother" song!

@@lachlannmullin I don't think most people would mind the noise if you show the river creating said noise. Would add a lot i think😇

Enjoyable, might want to face away from the river, so that we can see it if you are going to film next to it.

Am I able to learn the banjo before the guitar? I'm wanting to learn folk songs like Phil Ochs woody Guthrie etc. and, then the Beatles as well I wonder if it even matters lol
@lachlannmullin2 жыл бұрын
The guys you mentioned were primarily guitar players so keep that in mind. This is up to your personal preference. I'd say the banjo is a simpler instrument when it comes to chords and fingering.

Banjo, my man dude. A little microphone for your voice would really help you. You'd have to bother with syncing your voice audio to the video and play with the sound equaliser, but it would really help you.

Hey, love your music! But your vocal mix is a tad low. Now sure what you are using to mix or edit, but I had the same issues on my first videos. I use davinci and there are a few tricks you can use to get a better mix, DM me on Twitter or something I am more than willing to share some tips. I’m not an expert at all and I have a lot to learn, but want to share what little I do know.
