most hookah systems now are battery operated (like a 12v car battery) air compressor

These systems are very very dangerous especially for people who are not certified divers. There are many things with pressure and nitrogen sickness and such that can harm you and if you somehow let lose the hose that far down, especially on the exhale, you might just be fish food.

Spare air tanks and the uplift process keep a good hover. These can be a good solution to this problem. (Can't get out of the water extremely fast)

would like you guys to evaluate the idea of the EXOLUNG...it is supposed to be coming out soon. It uses surface air...and when you kick your lungs it puts air in the tank you breathe...the idea is when you kick your legs to pump the air from the surface to the tank you do not fill your lungs completely so less risk of lung rupturing...supposed to up to 15 feet but they are making for deeper...so I wonder with not filling lungs completely for long periods..what affect could that have.

I have surface-air dove for decades, and it IS ADVISABLE to have a certification for open-water diving (PADI, NAUI, etc.) before you ever do diving, period (if for no other reason than understanding nitrogen and dive times). That said, it is pretty-foolish to dive from a boat using surface air, and do it with a gasoline powered engine. Pull that gas engine off your compressor, replace with a 12-v electric motor, and wire it into your boat's 12-v / 24-v system! Then, you have no threat of CO poisoning, and don't have to worry about running out of fuel in your compressor! (any decent sized boat has more than ample battery capacity to keep your compressor running far longer than you will be below-water)!

I feel different after every dive only 5 feet deep oh and in Alaska gold dredging for 6 hours may be hypothermia hahah but for real i should get sert for saftey. I just learnd from a pro that you dont strain your lugs buy picking heavy things wile in any depth of water. I saw a gold dredging in Nome show right after i learned that and saw a guy use a pry bar at 8meters and he almost past out at depth and didnt no y ((safety first))

Don’t listen to any of this if your diving in 10 feet or less water and making sure your not breathing in carbon fumes I would recommend doing a scuba course though from what many people have told me

are you talkng about diving more than 100 feet (>30M) ?

In fact, some of today's Hookah Diving systems are capable of >100 FT, such as AQUAROBO.
