"Firebird" - Hades turns to the heroes to ask for help with getting Zelena back from Rumplestiltskin and Peter Pan. In return, he offers to take all their names off their tombstones. However, when Hook is still unable to leave, he and Emma must journey into the depths of the Underworld. Meanwhile, Cruella De Vil is determined to keep the heroes trapped in the Underworld. In flashbacks, Emma searches for answers about her family and makes an unexpected friendship on "Once Upon a Time," SUNDAY, MAY 1 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on the ABC Television Network.

Looking back at this moment makes me love it even more. This True Love test was not just for Emma, it was for Killian too. Once Emma's heart is placed on the scale and the pain begins Killian tried to get her heart off and he bursts into flames. Emma chose to save Killian instead of herself, but I now see more. What I take away from it now is that the end result of being deemed true love came from Emma choosing to save Killian while he is in flames over herself and Killian choosing Emma by telling her to get her heart instead of saving himself. Both were selfless about their own pain and only wanted the other to be safe.

and i think that’s the point - True Love (capital T and L) is something shared between two people. you can’t have True Love without both people because True Love itself is a magical connection existing between two people.

I think one of my ultimate favorite moments between these two, other than of course them being confirmed as true love is when Killian calls Emma out and says "Why can you only admit how you feel when one of us is facing certain death?" and Emma's reply is "Idk... I guess my armor's been on for such a long time that I... Sometimes I forget I don't need it with you :)" To me that is one of THEE most amazing lines that Emma has ever said. Everyone she's ever dated, she always put up a wall and hardly opened up to them, sometimes including Killian. But, I like the fact that she admitted that she's pretty much been more open with him than anyone she's ever been with. Killian's always been able to understand her and read her so well. And because of that, she feels safe enough to not wear that armor and hide. Killian is the only one who's ever been able to make her feel safe enough to where she feels she doesn't need to protect her heart as often as she does. Which is why she was able to say "I love you" to him in the season finale without any life threatening situations. Killian has done what every man she's EVER been with failed to do; he got her to take off that armor of hers and keep it off. Killian is definitely Emma's one true love.

i am so happy for killian that he finally has confirmation that he is Emma's true love , that he found his home with her , his forever . Killian's face when he says " you chose me " was everything his smile ... Realizing he and he alone has Emma's heart , that he won her , he is the love of her life ... Her true love. You could just see what this means to him ... So special

When he asked her if what they share is true love my heart melted into a puddle of goo. Hook was sure of his love for Emma because she's his happy ending. Now he knows that she loves him too and that he's her happy ending. Pure perfection

That's why I adore Captain Swan because they continue to put each other first no matter what the situation they will always put each other first. She risked everything to save him. She chose Hook instead of herself. Hook wanted Emma to get her heart instead of saving him. These two are pure perfection.

True Love baby.... Their amazing together. All I keep thinking about is Hook's conversation with Charming and how he would go to the end of the earth for her and time. Hook wasn't sure if Emma would do the same but now he had his answer because she went to the underworld to get him back. When Emma said she had to weight her heart and he ask if what they shared was true my heart just melted. "We're about to find out" and that's exactly what it is (true love) the rarest magic and CaptainSwan passed the test. Hook puts Emma first and she does the same with him. Emma chose Hook over herself and that's the epitome of true love.

This one of the reasons I love Emma & Killian relationship, is all about putting the other first rather themselves. Killian wanted Emma to save her heart but, she chose to save him,the definition of True love. 💖 And I thought it was cute how Emma react of learning Killian knows Ancient Greek ☺️

When she said "seriously" I couldn't stop laughing. She learned something new about her pirate. I adore their relationship for the same reasons you mentioned above. They are the definition of true love. Gotta love Captain Swan

I still love this so much because it makes perfect sense. When they both thought for that moment that it wasn't "true love" because it didn't "bloody work" as Killian said, they didn't respond by not loving each other anymore. They didn't change the way they act towards one another because some outside force told them it wasn't "true love". They still saved each other, they still had instant concern and love for each other. Nothing changed. And loving someone wholly despite the world telling you otherwise that it isn't real or true, in itself is exactly what makes it so. So glad they got a special TL moment like this.
