Did u put silicone into the holes before putting the screws in? I’m installing mine tomorrow already have the rack built just asking. Also I love how u cut out the weather strip I’m gonna do the same! Sweet job! 🎉

I installed this unit on my 3rd Generation Tacoma. Looks great but I am getting noise while driving. Any Advice?

Make sure the bolts holding the light bar mount to the wind deflector are tight. When they get lose the wind deflector vibrates and makes noise

Can you comment on the sunroof impact since you installed the roof rack . Can you remove the cross slats that obstruct the sunroof view when not using thre roof rack features?

I have the previous version of this rack and I love it. Only problem was the big wind deflector vibrated in the wind pretty bad at higher than 45mph. I inserted a pool noodle I cut in half long ways, and now it’s rated for at least 90mph per my testing😂

Nice install. What is the distance on the side of the rack from the roof to the top of the rack. I’m hoping I can have the rack on when I put my Eagle Four Wheel Camper on the truck. Cheers.

Never mind, I see it is below the antenna so no worries with the camper which sits well above the antenna.

I Just installed mine. I did not grind the back cross bar, I bent it so it would not touch the rear antenna.

@@ModernDayViking probably when i received it it was bend a little bit towards the antenna. Now I have 1" of clearance when I straighten the rear fairing.

I wonder if the issue you had with the crossbar touching the antenna could have just been fixed by adjusting where in the mounting cubes you put the rack on. Looks like the openings on those have plenty of room to adjust.

Great video bud, turned out pretty nice. Did notice that the coating on the roof rack, although very good looking, was pretty slick and slippery. Do you think some 3M grip tape on the cross bars would be beneficial?

Well maybe, I will be using the t slots to bolt things to the rack. So it being slick wasn't a big concern for me

Not as bad as I would have expected. You hear it pretty good when a cross wind hits. Oddly enough I have recently installed a lightbar on it and it seems to have calmed it down.
