Girl! Put in the DDI seat jackers yesterday before I saw this video...I installed the front and rear jackers and all I can say is wow! I'm 5ft5 and I found after a couple of hrs the lower back and hips would ache.. i would always end up taking a pillow for my back. So this girl was flat amazed at the quality and real directions! The packaging was great too...shows how much they care about their product and their customer. The concerning thing not against DDI but Toyota, the front seats were not even torqued to specs. I barely had to turn the bolt and it was lose. So everyone, if you chose to get the product or not...check your front seat mounts. Mine is s 2020 TRD Sport 4x4 (she still has less thsn 10k miles. Keep up the great work Chloe!

I think it's great how interested you are in Toyotas, and how much you seem to enjoy making all of these great videos. My first yota was a 77' Celica. I have owned 4 other Toyota cars and 14 different truck models over the years. I love your old Cruiser. Keep making all the great videos. You seem to have a wealth of knowledge. I still enjoy learning about them myself!

(23 Tacoma TRD 4 door) Placed an order at Desert Does it and gave them your name. Told them there is no way I would have found them without your videos. Deric is very helpful and patient. I ordered the seat jacker and the quick release fire extinguisher mount. I just got back to Florida from Arizona and installed them yesterday. I can already see a big comfort difference (as you indicated in your video). I’m a little skeptical about buying the under the driver seat air compressor, (as awesome as it looks) it seems a bit pricey. I’d almost rather strap a Harbor Freight air compressor in the back of the bed for $20. Bigger tank and it has a power inverter outlet back there (I have a topper). The LED interior light upgrades are a no brainer. $10-$12 and it makes a huge difference! Thanks for all the videos Chloe and keep up the great work!! It’s great information for all of us new Tacoma owners.

There’s not as much off-road accessories availably here as there is on the Mainland, but I think more is trickling into BC. Hey Chloe, I have major back problems and leg pain. I own a 2019 Tacoma off road . I have to drive into Boston for Dr. appointments . My legs would be hurting so bad I would have to pull over. After seeing your video on the desert does it seat lifters I bought a pair. Installed them this past Tuesday and drove to Boston on Wed. I didn't have to pull over for a break. I'm 5'4'' and like the position they put the seat in. So thank you, I never would have known that these existed. I will be ordering the screen protectors , the swirls and scratches drive me nuts. I genuinely enjoy watching your videos Chloe. I am a "car guy' and father and it would make me so proud to know that my daughters could do what I have seen you do and that includes not only doing the actual service work but also making the videos for owners to get something from them. I own a nearly identical looking Tacoma. Mine is a 2015 Tacoma Sport 4x4 in silver sky metallic. It is for the most part what I would call "old school' design and technology but that is what I love about it. I purposely bought the Tacoma being a 2015 because of it being the final model year with the 'bullet proof' 4.0 V6 and the 5 speed automatic. It only had just over 73,000 miles on it and I love and enjoy this truck as I know you love and enjoy yours.

I have the seat jackers on my drivers seat. I was skeptical about getting them like what could raising the that little bit really do? They are amazing this is something Toyota should have done in the first place. Changing the seat angle just slightly made driving, especially long distances so much more comfortable. Single best thing I have ever done to my Tacoma.

Thanks I’ll have to get them I’m 6 feet tall and feel to cramped up in there did this help with that
@fuzzylogic14922 жыл бұрын
@@jimcatanzaro7808 it depends on what you mean by cramped. It won't improve the head clearance to the roof of the cab. What it does is pitch the front of the seat up so your legs feel supported. It's weird but it makes the seat more comfortable.

I got PRP seat covers after seeing your video on them, my wife got them for me with red stitching and sides with black center and dark gray backs. They are awesome. My truck is the same color as yours. I also went with Fox 2.5 dsc extended travel with JBA UCA’s on back, airbags with cradles a Body Armor HiLine front bumper after seeing you do it. I did it all by myself and saved a lot of money. Already had a ARB compressor, but made it better with a tank assorted connections to air up or down 2 at a time. I can’t keep up with more than that alone.

The Screen Protech was the first thing I installed on my '23 TRD Off-road. I knew from my 19 Taco that it was an absolute must have for the new one. Finger prints don't show and I don't have those awful scratches. Tufskinz is another one of my must haves. I didn't realize how black and almost boring the interior was. Tufskinz changed that. I have the Lunar Rock color and the add-ons look great. It's a subtle color, so I went with more of the accents to lighten it up. They are an ready install, fit perfectly and really makes my interior stand out now. Definitely a must have as well.

Great video and timely for me. I just picked up a new 2022 Tacoma TRD Offroad Double Cab Long Bed and even with low expectations with what is basically a 14 year old core design, was disappointed with some of the lack of attention to interior finish in the truck. The gaps around the window switch gear housing on the front and rear doors, and the center transmission console look really unfinished and, well, cheap. I'm not new to Toyota trucks. I had a 2009 4Runner Trail Edition an learned about Toyota's fragile gauge cluster cover material with the 4Runner - I scratched it pretty badly when I cleaned it the first time. I was Hell-bent on NOT messing up the gauge cover on the new truck. Too late - the dealer's team managed to do that for me prepping the vehicle for delivery. As you said in the video, I too thought about ordering a new cover, dismantling the dash and replacing the scratched unit with a new one, but that's galling to have to do in a new truck. The noisy hard plastic bottoms in the door bins also bugged me (sounds cheap and is about a decade behind noise abatement in other trucks). Then I watched this video. My Screen ProTech film arrives today (soft plastic gauge cover problem solved, and my TuffSkinz body colored trim gap inserts and door bin pads arrive Thursday. Thanks for the information. Haven't started modding yet, but hate the cruddy stock Goodyear P-metric Wrangler Territory ATs that come standard on the TRD Offroad for 2022, but note that upsizing seems to be the only way to get a selection of LT tires for this model. It seems like only BFG KO2s and Hankook Dynapro Extreme AT2s are the only LT tires available in stock size (E class for the BFGs and D class for the Hankooks). This truck has pretty modest power as trucks go and the BFGs are very heavy and will add a bunch of rotational weight. Most of my off pavement driving is in New Mexico, Utah and Colorado getting too and from archaeological sites to do archaeo-astronomy surveys, so that means mostly poorly graded dirt and tabular sandstone roads, but not many big rocks or highly technical sections - except in years with really bad weather in the wet season. Range per tank is usually more important on these trips than technical off road capability. I'm off to central eastern Utah along the Colorado border third week of the month for a week to do a Freemont culture rock art survey and astronomy camp with friends. I've decided to run it stock for the trip to figure out what the truck is missing for my specific needs and start when I get back. I did buy a "take off" OEM wheel, tire and TPMS monitor off of eBay to have one additional full sized (crappy Goodyear p-metric) spare, for under $200. Though I think I want a Snugtop camper shell ultimately, I ordered a Soft Topper for this trip. The equipment I take needs more headroom than the stock bedside height can handle with a tonneau cover mounted, and the Soft Topper was less than $1000 (vs $3000 and a 6 month wait for the Snugtop I like) and weighs only 35# so likely zero impact of fuel economy/range per tank. If it works out on this trip I'll probably skip the Snugtop and stick with the Soft Topper for camping treks, and just use the cheap tonneau cover (I have a Gator SFX, but they all look similar at the lower price points) for daily driving needs. Now I'll mine your other videos for ideas. Thanks again for the excellent channel.
