Your manual speed taco it's better than 4gen manual speed? What do you think? Have a test drive of 4gen manual transmission? I'm curious 😊

Cool video and just subbed. I just purchased a 2023 Tacoma ACLB TRD OR and my plan is to either put a Diamondback tonneau (love the Access Cab Long Bed side profile) or a topper on it with a bed rug (that way it’s extra water sealed). I am planning on getting some Volk TE37T’s in 0 offset so I can run 255/85R16 pizza cutters with no lift or cutting. I am planning on adding Victory 4x4 aluminum or Backwoods Adventure Mods front bumper, Cali Raised sliders ad aluminum skids from someone. For rear bumper I’m looking at Outgear Solutions HC Sandstorm.

Watching your channel grow from the begining and seeing all you have accomplished has been an amazing journey. I honestly think it is time for a trailer for camping/living out of. It would fix all of your issues. Multiple times i have heard you say that if you have to go get anything you have to close up camp and lose your spot. Dropping the trailer would solve most, if not all of your issues and free up the truck for off road adventuring. I wouldn't get one pre-built, i would just get an enclosed trailer and build something ridiculous out of it and take all of us along with the build.

That would be pretty fun!

Buy a small utility trailer, about the same capacity as a long bed on a full size pickup truck. This is how I make my Tacoma work.

Have gone a similar route with my build. It’s my daily driver and as I’m in sales I put a lot of miles on my truck. I went the simple route. Have a Leer camper shell, 50L fridge on a slide in the bed that runs off a ecoflow power bank, and is all recharged by single 150w solar panel on the roof, and bought a topper tent that encloses the rear when the tailgate is down and the hatch is open. Be nicer if I had a 6 ft bed but with the tailgate down I essentially have a 6’+ bed and at 5’10” it works great. Very low key non-overlander looking but plenty of space to do normal husband/dad/homeowner stuff. Never been a fan of RTT’s and having a huge amount of money tied up in something for occasional or weekend use. Love the channel, keep it up.

@@ModernDayViking Plus climbing up to your truck to sleep sucks, and being able to drop your “house” off and drive somewhere is so amazing. No more packing up to merely leave the campsite.

Hello great video. Have you thought about doing a flat bed and putting a canopy box on it. They are from Australia and you can setup it anyway you want to or get one built yourself and save money that way. Or what do you think about building a 5'x8' trailer camper where you can do a queen bed and a kitchen out of the back of it. Y'all can sleep in it and go off road while it's parked and don't have to put the tent down to go anywhere.

For Caps you have only a few options that can carry weight. RSI Smart Cap is nice but expensive and quite heavy since its steel, Alucab Contour or Explorer very well made one piece aluminum and light, RLD Cap. A.R.E makes a fiber glass cap that is reinforced called the HD which can take weight you can get it paint matched to your truck. OVS expedition, Or if you're really trying to go budget find one of those Alibaba tactical caps that are steel, similar to what BYNB made and got sued by RSI for. Hope that helps.

Toyota is absolutely idiotic for abandoning the tundra V8 Tacoma V6. Absolutely stupid! This is what made Toyota so great. They were reliable, if you were moving parts, and quite frankly, people want gasoline engines. I’m actually astonished that Toyota did this I know there are stricter carbon guidelines that they must follow, but this was a, poor decision that is going to really hurt them in the long run. It’s been a long time since I have said I don’t recommend buying a Toyota.

@johnathanbeicher53611 күн бұрын
Well I guess you won’t be buying ANY trucks at all. The Tacoma is still competitively priced or lower than its competitors. It’s the market as a whole, not Toyota. And blame govt regulations on the move to turbo 4 cylinder engines. Unfortunately the naturally aspirated V6 & V8’s are being legislated away. 😡

Price is one thing but reliability is another and at that price it should be reliable. Toyota even managed to screw up a standard transmission all in the name of bottom line. Under their new leadership they are no different than any other vehicle manufacturers. Really how can you mess up a standard tranny, they been around for over a hundred years.

I agree, l bought a new 4runner trd sport. Love the look of the new 4runners, but love the 4 cylinder engines. Look at the problems with the tundra new engines. They are crap.ford has problems with longevity on there ecoboost V6 engine's. Turbos shorten the life of engine's. That why got my 4runner with old reliable 4.0.

I gave away my paid off 2017 Tacoma to my son so he could take it to college, so I needed something to replace it. Doing a ton of research and instead of buying a pre 2024 Taco for an inflated price I decided to test drive something of similar price of my 2017 Taco... which was a 2023 Nissan Frontier. Turns out I liked it just as much as my Taco, and I was skeptical at first but I honestly think if you're a 3rd gen Tacoma enthusiast (like me), you'd probably find a similar satisfaction or appreciation for the Frontier. The similarities are that close (minus the badge of course).
