I know this is an older video, but I had to comment. It’s all so well taught, but my favorite part is when you mention how you’re working into the stitch that is slightly smaller. I noticed this as I was crocheting along, and then you said it was the single crochet that was smaller, and I was so relieved, and it’s so easy to see where you need to go as you move along with the project, and confirm you’re working correctly. I'm glad I found this recent comment. Question, what size yarn and what size hook did you use for a blanket? I have weight 5 bulky and tried a 6.5mm hook (label recommended a 5.5mm) but seem too stiff for a blanket. I don't have a 7mm so considering using a 8mm to achieve nice drape. Thoughts? Thank you.

Older video but I must still say I am so obsessed with this stitch and very grateful for the video. I'm a knitter, but I've been working on the same cowl for weeks and I wanted to start a project that would complete quickly and give me satisfaction. It took several attempts to not get an extra stitch on the second and third row somehow, but once I got it, I can't stop crocheting scarves. I'm very tempted to make a blanket with this stitch. My first scarf was hilariously huge (96" x 8") as I used super bulky yarn and didn't know what I was doing, but I love it. It's so warm and soft and can cover my whole face if needed :) What a beautiful, simple stitch. Very appreciative.

I’m almost finished with mine! Bought the same yarn but in dark blue and it’s gorgeous. Love the subtle sheen. This is my third project ever, but still pretty fast and easy. I’m also making one for my mum but a lighter green. Should be done in time for autumn. Thanks for your amazing videos Robin! I feel like a champion 🤭

I think I’m going to use this stitch for blanket yarn because I need to use some up… and make a blanket for my bed! :) I did use this stitch for three scarves for Christmas gifts and they came out well.
