Exactly the info I needed. Thank you for taking the time to make this video & to include a list with links of the parts used!

Thank you so much for the impossible to find info. I've been sitting here staring at the "cart" total at Summit Racing hoping it worth the plunge. Good Luck with the rest of your build, I'll be following along!

New subscriber! Doing the same build. I have a tr6060 but same difference.. I used a Tick Performance direct shifter. Was going to ask your drive shaft length but the 6060 has a 3 bolt flange opposed to your Magnum’s spline yoke! I think these trucks are going to be fun as heck!!!
@poolesperformance61464 жыл бұрын
Dirty dingo makes a a/c bracket that fits on the pass. side upper and holds a r4 compressor. The aftermarket compressors make the pressure funny for the AC to work properly. Run the r4 compressor and you can use factory lines with a little tweaking and have factory parts

Thanks a bunch. I know you filmed this a while ago but could you tell me about the clearance around the steering box and ps pump.
@CheekyGarage4 жыл бұрын
Not a problem. I'm running Corvette accessories, so others may be different, but the PS pump/pulley sit pretty much directly above the steering box. There's definitely enough clearance to run the lines, but the pressure line will have to be pretty short, possibly custom made. I'll post updates as I go. Thanks for watching!

How did you get the stock motor mounts off? How did you get access to the nuts on the end of the motor mount bolts that are under the frame?

My fuckin mounts can't get the engine mount bolts lined up. Everything is in correct orientation and lined up but doesn't work right

What year is your Corvette engine. Because it seems to me that the aircondioning compresser should be on top of the engine. My good friend had a C4 Corvette and that's where his aircondioning compresser was.
@jessemitchell36499 ай бұрын
That's because C4 Corvettes still used a Gen 2 small block, not the new style LS small block. Most LS engines use a low mount AC compressor

Like you I couldn't find any reviews on their blackheart line of products. I am in the middle of a swap in my 83 S10. The evaporator cover does not work for mine, the bolt holes do not line up. I looked at it for a couple minutes today, first to see if i got the right one, I did get the 82 -93. must have been at least two types of covers on those years of S10's. I am calling Holley tomorrow to see. Anyway cool build, subscribed.

Did you have to notch the frame anywhere for the LS swap? I'm considering of doing the swap but not sure I want to notch up the frame or if I should just turbo my 4.3L.

Hey man thank you for this very informative video. Your video is the reason I went with the HBH series. However, I have a question...which steering shaft are you using? I bought the HBH steering shaft, & it wants to hit.

How did you get the motor to go down that low, I have the dirty dingo mounts and it sits like 5-7 inches higher than yours

Nice! The accessories are just the stock Corvette stuff.
@ericpettiford24714 жыл бұрын
Cheeky Garage Nice! do you think the truck accessory drive system will clear? Particularly the ps pump to steering gear? Or will I have to relocate the pump? If so I have my eyes on the ict billet alt/ps relocation brackets that make the front of the motor look like a sbc.
@CheekyGarage4 жыл бұрын
I couldn't tell ya exactly. This is my first LS swap, and I found a bunch of contradicting info online regarding truck accessories. I decided to go with a Corvette LS1 partially due to the front drive setup
@ericpettiford24714 жыл бұрын
Cheeky Garage yeah same here lol. This will also be my first LS swap. A couple boxes of my Hooker kit (520-71221029K4) came in today. Got the pan, mounts, and cross member. Still waiting on the headers and urethane bushings for the clam shell mounts. Getting excited! Kinda worried about fitment around the steering box, but we’ll see lol. Im thinking about mounting a reservoir to the fender, running both lines to it to bypass the pump, and have “manual” steering with a faster than manual ratio.
