Thanks for the vid and info! I head in this week and just wanted to make sure everything was done right

RV transport was the most fun I ever had doing work. Seeing the country and meeting other transporters. I hope to start doing transport again in a few years when I am a little closer to retirement.

I also put the clean out caps on.

I do too, but I think I did it before I started… I also push the valves closed. I’ve had some that hung kind of low to the road. I also have become careful of pulling the bumper caps. I found a wasp nest in one.

Just curious how you know which link to hook the WD to?
@gnjadventures5 ай бұрын
That took some trial and error. The way I was shown was take a tape measure and measure the top of the front wheel well, put a link to the WD and cinch it up and drop the jack. And measure the top of the wheel well in the front and then the rear on the truck. It shouldn’t be any more than 1/2 -3/4” lower in the back from the front.

The only nut on those wheels that is at 110lbs is the one that actually moved with the torque wrench. All the rest of them are more than 110lbs and over time that stretches the stud. You should have to use the torque wrench on all of them.

You are correct. The factory cranks them down, but I have found some that were hand tight as well

I dont understand why someone would use a WD hitch for such a little trailer

In my orientation, unless it was a 2 inch hitch ball the WD hitch needs to be used.
