Brioche Crochet Basic Stitches and Rules

My lessons on brioche crochet continue with this important video tutorial: here I am showing you how to make the so-called "joining stitch" in brioche crochet, i.e. the stitch that joins two rows together and creates the beautiful, sinuous and curvy design, typical of brioche.

This doesn't look like brioche to me. Aren't you using short rows? Brioche uses front pot and back post stitches. Ribbing uses back and front loops. I think you are using rib stitch with short rows. You have great instructions and well done video though.
