this week has been suspiciously good so far. yesterday i was able to make great progress with the work for my thesis and the lady at the chinese buffet literally DUMPED the "remaining" of the noodles she had in the tray... it was literally half a tray. i was given three times the portion for 6 euros. now i open youtube and you posted another video!! god bless this week is great! as per usual i am so excited to see you've been getting sponsored more often, you deserve every little bit! you're an amazing creator.

I received my first box last month, the same one you're unboxing, and didn't receive enough yarn to complete the advanced project. I'm in Canada and it cost me over $60 (doesn't include the additional $15 USD I paid for 2 extra skeins of yarn). I decided to use the yarn to crochet the woven storage basket. The instructions say to “work the 4-row basket stitch pattern 6 times or until work measures 8”. I was only able to complete the 4-row stitch pattern 3 times, measuring 6” with the 3 balls of yarn provided. Not only is the basket 2" short, I don’t have any yarn to crochet the handles. I'm very disappointed with this kit. I don’t want to buy another skein because the kit instructions claim the 3 skeins is enough to complete the basket. I ordered the 2 extra skeins of yarn thinking they would be the same yarn as in the kit. I had been hoping to crochet all 3 projects in the book, but instead I was sent 2 extremely small skeins of pink cotton yarn which I have no use for. I wasted my time crocheting a project that I can’t complete. I've reached out to customer support four times asking them to send me another skein so I can finish the basket, (as other companies will do if the yarn is short) and have not received a response. I also submitted a review to their website which has not appeared. This is very disappointing from a company that has very good reviews and is endorsed by some of my favourite KZbin creators. I wish I had known this before I subscribed to the Hooks & Needles crochet box, so I'm commenting here hoping to save someone else the frustration I have experienced.

I have my great grandmothers and my great aunts darning needle. It’s was my MumMum’s first then my great aunts then my grandmas (she who shall not be named 😂) and now I have it. I think the reason I still have it is my MuMMum made a needle minder out of ivory so it gets tucked away but they passed down a huge magnet so legit I just toss the needle on the counter without looking and it finds its way to the magnet 👏🏻 gypsy genius is what I call it (we are gypsy lol)

I subscribed to this box after seeing your amazing video on it, I will say it does say in the pattern that it’s 8 inches starting from the double crochet rows. Due to health issues I can no longer knit and so this channel and subscription box is perfect timing.

If you have the booklet that it came with. The instructions for the weave part is on page 23 (at the bottom) But i actually had to look up a random youtube tutorial to figure it out lol
