Them some purtty welds there Dan. I like how Dan explained why he put those tacks where he did. Very important tip for any beginning fabricator! I like to use aluminum blocks and pieces of flat bar to clamp my pieces against as I Tig it out. Keep the temps down and the distortion will follow.

Is it just me or do other people miss the daily transmissions? It was so simple and relaxed compared to these structured shows, and I miss that aspect of Hoonigan. The second channel harks back to those simpler times, but it just doesn't feel the same. These shows are pretty awesome, and I'm not complaining about them, but I just wish that we could get some more daily transmissions. I want to see that raw, natural side of Hoonigan that I subscribed for all those years ago...

Wondering if the horizontal engine mount might possibly rotate under high (ish) torque loads due to the adjustment slots that mount it to the cross-member? Great team work with the CNC Plasma.

I've heard people talk about Lexan... it can be clear like plexiglas, and withstand pretty high heat, but idk if it can shield heat from transferring through... cool idea!

Really cool that these guys are getting this rad pit truck. I remember when they came to St. Louis for formula D and during the autograph session I was running late and they called for the driver's meeting and while everybody else was getting up to go James and Piotr stayed to sign for another 5 minutes so that the rest of the line could see them. Really cool guys and super friendly.

It'll come... I feel like they're still finding their stride in how to grow the channels and have the right flow through projects. A lot of irons in the fire, probably hard to balance snd keep them all hot, but I think they'll find a groove.

Loving the fab work you guys are doing, great to see custom plasma cut parts too. A word of advice for slotted brackets: Rather radius the slot ends, that reduces stress points that you will have if you make use of a square slot......and it makes it look pretty too :) Shout out from South Africa

excellent work Dan. Great tips on machining too. would've been cool to put a thick piece of plexiglass over the engine but the 13b would melt that like butter. hope the drive direction of the engine and box matches the diff.
