I have not eaten buffalo in many years and this brings back so many memories. In my elementary school days in Toronto, my mother would buy buffalo from the Chinese supermarket and use it as a substitute for carp in many recipes. Both my father and I agreed that it tasted better than carp. I moved to a small town next to Lake Ontario in my high school years and walleye, freshwater drum, bowfin, northern pike, and the fall salmon/trout run took over the dinner plate; buffalo were but a distant memory. The way you hoop net those fish are quite interesting, I have a keep net (livewell net) that looks exactly like the hoop nets you're using in the video. Can't wait to see your next video! God bless you Sir! Greetings from Ontario, Canada!

What does buffalo fish taste like? I've never eaten one. In North Carolina, they were always considered "trash fish". Just like carp, mudcats, bowfins, and gars.
@godscountryhuntingfishing16389 ай бұрын
"Trash fish" means I don't know how to prepare and cook em, 🤣🤣🤣. A 5 lb or bigger Bass is the worse tasting fish in fresh water IMO. Other fish over 5 lbs are great eating. So are Bass Trash fish? Not the 2 overs, lol. Buffalo is distinct tasting, so it's hard to describe. Very good eating fish when done like we do them. Meat is delicate and flakey. Sundays video will show a little about prepping them and cooking!!

Man I’ve had a thief take a bunch of my fillet knives and the no good pos took my electric fillet knife that I’ve had since I was 12 years old and let me tell you brother that black American angler with the yellow trigger had cleaned some serious fish and never gave me the first issue as far as the motor and working within it just the cord gave me a few issues so I took it apart and replaced the whole cord and she was brand new. I went through probably 15 sets of blades filleting those big saltwater stripe in north Alabama and some big catfish too. I even used that bad boy cutting up deer if we had a few of em. There was knives my grandad gave me before he passed away in 95 and some my dad passed on down to me before he passed in 17 and a honing stone that my great grandad passed to my grandad then to my dad then to me and my boys always had access to it as well. I know who done it and got him on video and he’s still denying it so I guess it’s gonna be a shock collar strapped to him as I’m waterboarding his no good thieving lying ass. I hate a thief and when you catch em with their hand in the cookie jar and call em out and they still lie about it I can’t hardly control myself from a killing. It’s gonna get bad bad ruff on him either way. He probably got 70 knives in total and 20 different stones and my high dollar oil stone that had 5 sides and was all contained inside its own box and didn’t have to worry about spills with it. I doing the box for it down at his place all tore to pieces and true to form he lied and said he didn’t get that. He stole hammers and saws that came down from my old men. Anyways nice catch and demonstration fellers. Love the vids bro

When you pour out your fish. Are they coming through the throats are they going out the way they came in I'm trying to figure out how you get them out so fast I thought you was untying something. Maybe if you can remember in your next video show us how they come out real close. Thank you my Cajun brother well this is Ray from Foley Alabama. May God bless you and many more trips hope to see more catfish I like the way you play your fish with electric fillet knife that was really good helpful hint. Just a little PS some of your music sometimes just a little bit too loud I like country music
@godscountryhuntingfishing16389 ай бұрын
I've been all over Foley. I lived in Semmes my teenage years and Shrimped the coat of Alabama. Man I love Country Music as well. Unfortunately We cannot play copyright music in any of our videos. We very limited on music. It's also pretty hard sometimes to edit by phone, or earbuds and it end up right on a big screen or something, so sorry for that part. Catfish will start picking up a little bit soon. They just don't run hard in the river till around April. The Nets have leads on those throats that hold the throat shape as the nets stretched out. Once that net collapsed, those throats have slack and open up. Kinda works like a draw cord effect. If they slack, I can crawl through there. That's why we pull those hoops together so that net has max slack in it. If the throats are built right they will then dump out. Hopefully I cover that in future video. Hopefully I answered those, and thanks for the feedback!!

Ловить рыбу вы умеете, а вот разделывать нет! Чешую надо счищать и жарить рыбу с кожей. Так намного вкуснее! Не правильно вы ее разделываете!. Кроме кишок и чешуи ничего выбрасывать не нужно!

No idea what this says🤷

You know how to fish, but you don’t know how to cut fish! The scales must be cleaned and the fish must be fried with the skin on. It tastes so much better! You're not cutting it correctly! There is no need to throw away anything other than guts and scales!@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638

Ok, yes, most buffalo for market is cleaned that way. I just don't like the skin on buffalo. Markets here won't even buy it unless it's cleaned the way you say though!!

Here in Russia, fish is sold on the market live, not cleaned. At the buyer's request, the seller can clean it, but after weighing it on the scales.@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638

It is absolutely fishing. Our ancestors fished with nets 50,000 years ago. There are four main branches of fishing. Line fishing, net fishing ,building stone weirs in rivers, and hand fishing. You sound like a line fisherman, specifically an angler.

Where can you buy the hoop nets
@godscountryhuntingfishing163820 күн бұрын
Depends on where your located. If your in Louisiana, there are a bunch of net builders. If not you can order from one of several net fishing companies
