Wow! You have sure used every available inch of your lovely hoop house, and things will really start popping in there. I am thrilled for the added space you have for growing more beautiful flowers. Look forward to seeing your full garden tour!

I’d love to see how you water, particularly on the landscape fabric. Love your set up.

I have a video that I posted recently where I show my drip and soaker hose setup. For other areas with fabric I water the base of the plants to make sure the water sinks in the holes well. Hopefully drip everywhere next year

I can’t believe your lisis have buds!! Mine are just lengthening. So exciting! I would net your snaps if you are going to keep them after this first harvest. I tried to get away without on my early snaps and they ended up falling all over.

Everything looks great! 👌 es0ecially tye lissies! I can't wait until mine start to bloom! I had an awesome ranunculus & Anemone year, which I credit to growing them in a hoophpuse, planting them early enough so they are blooming before it gets into the 70's, & that I grew the correct varieties! I LOVE lillies as garden plants, but I find them very difficult to use in regular market bouquets. They're so huge that it makes it very hard to use, unless you're making like a $100 arrangement... they also look so formal, that I find it hard to pair them with things like zinnias, statice, basil, etc. It just doesn't look good in my opinion.

Im quite envious of your hoop house!! Hopefully I'll get one next year. I have a bunch of lavender lisianthus that is blooming now on VERY short stems ( 4 inches)........do you know how to encourage longer stems? Do i cut them and sacrifice the unopened flowers? Do i wait it out and hope they get taller as time goes on? Do i fertilize more? Ive looked at a lot of resources and dont really see this problem addressed......any ideas? I'm looking forward to seeing your original garden area as well as your cottage garden. You really have your hands full this year. Wishing you grrat success in all areas!! ❤

Hmm / I think I would just give them more time. If the first flower opens you can always cut it off and let the others open. I did that last year

Will you be taking the shade cloth off at some point? Will the dahlias be ok with the shade?
@SunshineFlora
@SunshineFlora Жыл бұрын
Not planning on it unless the plants are not tall. From what I have read the shade cloth makes them stretch for the light. My plastic is very clear compared to other plastic that is more opaque

Beautiful! How are you watering it? Are you using drip irrigation? Thank you! 😊

By hand this season - just didn’t get drip in. That will be next year! I water the hoophouse about a 3rd of what I water everything else - it stays more moist with shade cloth
