Its Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon dex entries point out how *Mega Evolution broke/dislocated its jaw, preventing it from eating people.* Therefore, this isn't even a fail, just Mega Evolution being a curse to a Pokemon. I bet the devs read the type chart incorrectly. Instead of looking what offensive type line is super effective on defensive type column, they thought the attacking types were listed on top and defensive types were on the left. They got the type matchups suspiciously reversed.

So in HgSs, the Pokemon following you around reacts to the gym type. Like entering a water type gym with an electric type or fire type will prompt a unique response. If you bring a type that has an advantage over the gym, the Pokemon will get excited. If you bring a type that has a disadvantage, the Pokemon will get nervous. However, apparently bringing a flying type to Erika's grass type gym, causes the nervous response. I brought a Pidgeot to said gym and that's what happened. I haven't tried it with any other flying types, so many it's just Pidgeot, but still - odd.

9:35 They had to nerf Aegislash because it was too good competitively prior to Sword and Shield. They do that to Pokémon who were competitively viable in previous gens, so viable that it was too powerful, so they have to nerf it in the new Generation of Pokémon games. Same goes for Zacian and Zamazenta, they had their abilities nerfed and also their stats nerfed. So yeah, it's not an epic fail. This is how they balance competitive play in Pokémon.

Ice does not in fact freeze water. If the environment is cold enough, water then solidifies.

While true moves such as Ice Beam are freezing beams and should be super effective against water types. While Pokemon with Ice bodies like Avalugg should resist Water and freeze it increasing its defence. It's only Ice moves like Ice Ball that should melt, or shatter against water. Scald is one of the rare occasions were it should effective against ice.

For trainer's choice, it's possible they looked at a type chart and read it wrong, like maybe they misread which side was the attacking type and which side was the defending type. For example, they might see a ×2 where fighting and normal crossover on the chart, and assumed fighting was the defending type and normal as the offending type. After that, they would assume that side will always be the offending and defending sides respectively. That's just a theory.

And, there was a claim that you could start a new game and still be able to keep all of your previous Pokémon. Of course, that's not true. If you start a new game and then save, you completely wipe out your old save file and all of your Pokémon that were on it. Unfortunately, one of my brothers was indeed misled by this misinformation back then, and had to start collecting Pokémon in his game all over from scratch.

As much as I love Pokemon Sword and Shield, the biggest fail is that Zamazenta couldn't learn Body Press. It's a new Fighting-type move that become stronger the higher the user's Defense is, Zamazenta literally represent the shield, has a high Defense stat, yet it couldn't fully take advantage of that. Yeah, they fixed this in Scarlet and Violet but come on!

Love your videos man! As for the ice types though i come here to defend. I would like for you to take as many ice cubes as you would like and add it to some water. Will it freeze? Nope! Just gets chilly. So water resisting Ice makes sense to me. And for grass. A lot of plants die in colder freezing climates so for ice to be effective against it well that also make some darn good sense. hope this helps. Have a good one!

Changing up the art style tends to be bad because it will make people unable to recognize the series as Pokémon. SNK are known for changing art styles, but usually for the artworks, much less on the character models.

I agree and enjoyed this entire episode you put out except for one tiny thing. I don't agree with Ice being resistant to water. Water being resistant to Ice does make sense though. As most temperatures of water being flowed against ice will melt it in varying lengths of time. Ice is formed far more easily with still water than running water as long as temperatures are very low and even lower for running water, and since you can assume water types are generally lukewarm, being resistant to ice makes sense, and Ice not resistant to water makes sense. I DO agree however that Ice was done dirty overall. Lacking at least Grass resistance is absolutely crazy. It should also be resistant against bugs imo and/or also have advantage against bug, as many irl bugs just straight up die during winter, especially in harsher environments. Usually only the eggs or bugs that dig deep or have other means of survival, well, survive.

The shiny giratina using shadow force in PLA has NOT been patched, can confirm, and I know why, the game changes its shiny state mid-attack, as in, the models swap somehow, and the game doesn't know what to do with it. I caught a glimpse of a non-shiny giratina just before the crash when i tried it.

I'm okay with Cerueledge not having Sharpness, Flash Fire has been very helpful in raids. And I was drilling holes into my phone screen staring at the Nuzleaf 😂 just waiting for it to be addressed 😅 And yeahhhh... First time playing Blue after playing Yellow and having already played Red. Soft locked my game by evolving Bulbasaur. I didn't know what I did wrong so I reset my game. And softboiled was a massive pain during Blissey raids.

Some of these are really nitpicky tbh 0:50 I don't think it warrants Yamask's inclusion though, it still evolves into Cofagrigus/Runerigus and neither of them fit Kitakami. BB Academy is also only a small part of Unova so Yamask's inclusion there is completely arbitrary 2:05 It doesn't need Gorilla Tactics... 6:05 Does it need to? 9:35 That's called a nerf 18:40 So far the only Pokemon with Motor Drive are Electric types, and none of them have anything to do with literal engines 19:05 You only get one Ability when you Mega Evolve, whatever was chosen for it in the end was 100% deliberate 19:15 So why include it here? 19:35 Mawile already had access to Hyper Cutter (prevents lowering own Atk)/Intimidate (lowers opp Atk) and for its HA Sheer Force (boosts damage minus extra effects). Its Mega gets Huge Power (doubles Atk). It's literally a physical attacker, idk why you would want to sacrifice EITHER of those just so Bite and Crunch (the only bite moves it learns) can get boosted 21:13 Water resists Ice because actual ice is still water. Freeze-Dry would be kinda useless if the type was always super-effective though
