Foleon's appearance is one of the nicest I've ever seen, I'm just not sure about the new type it gains; it does make sense however. The effort of giving any of the Eeveelutions a further evolution and second typings is indeed a favorite thing amongst fans and artists. I haven't been a fan of Huntail's appearance before, but now Huntuff is definitely on the list of best looking fakemon ever; sadly that doesn't go the same for Gorebyss' new form Villigore, it truly dives into the ugly aspect like how moray eels for example have a hideous appearance, and the fact Villigore has a huge mouth makes it more unappealing. I always liked Frosslass and how it is not an evolution you can get while trading but rather an item requirement, now Cryogeist here is something that is both elegant yet sinister, and yet I like it all, it's a good development for Frosslass if you ask me.

I think that the tricky part of creating new evolutions for old pokemon that many people forget about, is that you have to create a justification to why it didn't evolved before. That's why literally every pokemon that got an evolution in a future generation evolves through a new item (dipplin, electivire, magmortar, frosslass), a new move (hydrapple, yanmega, mamoswine), or a new gimmick that didn't existed in previous generations (Espeon/Umbreon, glaceon/leafeon/magnezone/probopass prior to gen 9, Sylveon, etc.)

My take for Cryogeist would be to utilise weather? Like consider level up when it is snowing? Or like another commenter said, a move might do it too. Alternatively, I might try pairing it with another ghost type pokemon in the team with a held item in a battle

I think the Froslsss to Cryogeist is a no-brainer, give it a new signature move and you that move to KO an opponent a certain number of times, like Primape to Annihilape. So tying further into Froslass's origin the move can be called "Alluring Blizzard" the move can also have different effects, such as a percentage to Freeze, and even have different effects depending on the gender, if the target is male then they fall in love(attract basically) but if it were a female then the target's accuracy decreases

Since Cryogeist is based off the Yuki-Onna it’d be even better to make its evolution reflect the story more. There are many tales but one classic is of the fisherman’s cottage where she kills an older man and allows the other to live…literally because he’s a young pretty boy(she’d be a K-pop fan for sure). My point is that it has a dwelling. Bring Frosslass to a cottage in a snowy region part during a blizzard at night and evolve. Or for the camping feature you could camp out in a blizzard area and play with frosslass so that it levels up and then it evolves.

I see some great designs, but I still have issues with some of the concepts Foleon is a great concept for a fall themed grass eeveelution, but I'm not so sure this works in practice. All eeveelutions have a major color in their design that matches their type, and it would be reasonable that any evolution of an eeveelution would also share that concept. Oddly enough it's colors would work with the fire type, and I can see this as a grass fire duel type. Dry leaves can be rather combustible, and your pseudo cross breading would give Leafeon Flareon's colors and it's fire type along with it's existing grass type At first I wasn't too crazy on Villigore and Huntuff, and the idea of switching their dynamic (If you read some of Gorebyss' pokedex entries you would know it's not as nice as it looks). But the evolution method you suggested where they evolve by gaining traits of each other made it all come together. I still think that Huntuff needs some edits, maybe give a somewhat long nose like Gorbyss or a swordfish Cryogeist looked good, but it felt almost too good and felt there was something off that I wasn't seeing. Eventually it hit me that this would work better as a mega evolution then a regular evolution. After all, Glalie has a mega evolution so shouldn't Froslass have one?

If i had to give a evolution to a eevelution probably would require to be a pretty special/unique one to justify only this one getting (maybe Sylveon, a dragon or a normal type eevelution), or have a REALLY good concept behind (like leafeon, flareon, glaceon and one more eevelution that i didn't decided yet, getting evolution based on each of the four stations)

For cryogheist have it play into the folklore inspiration. And it have maybe knock out some number of Pokémon that it’s given the freeze condition or defeat some Pokemon while hail is up. Or have it learn some unique move and use it to evolve by using in some way like primape

Given that Gorebyss is actually a very cruel kind of Pokemon; far from its "nice" looks; making it villainous here makes total sense even beyond the mere fact that "gore" is in its name. Granted, Huntail's not that different, but at least it's not literally called "cruel" in its Pokedex entries unlike Gorebyss, so the "heroic" direction for it is ok to differentiate them, even if not really that fitting.

Eeveelutions could all have cross type evos that trigger when you make a “friendliness” evo happen in the party with it. Like a fire/dark type Flareon evolution that evolves when you have a Flareon in your party at the time of evolving an Eevee into Umbreon.

An idea for the evolution from Froslass to Cryogeist, it might be an idea to take Froslass to the Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town and have them level up there, like how Mount Coronet can evolve Nosepass to Probopass and Magneton to Magnezone at Mount Coronet. And seeing how Mount Coronet has this effect on two pokémon, I would also have Brambleghast (a grass/ghost type) evolve to Bramblanggal (Bramble + Penanggal(an), a monstrous figure from South-East Asian mythologies, the more gruesome parts of this creature would be made "safe" through the fact that this Pokémon is tumbleweed in structure, so the round form Brambleghast would serve as the head, with wooden tendrils now comes from lower half). The reason why I would go for Brambleghast, is because it is the only other pokémon with Ghost-typing as secundary attribute that I saw working for this and to give them something mutual. Like the Lavender Town Pokémon Tower giving the more latent Ghost-type a boost so to speak.

Foleon looks good, love the autumn theme and the mix and match idea, although my personal preferred gimmick for dual type eeveelution...evos? would be to add a physical type, as all of them seem to follow the special type pattern (minus dragon), so maybe Foleon could be Grass/Ground, as Autumn has leaves and flowers, well, fall to the ground.

My personal delight would be eeveelutions getting split evos that are mainly aesthetic but with some smaller tweaks like move sets, abilities… but the splits are based on when or where its evolved. Leafeon1 in spring/summer, Leafeon2 (Folieon) in autumn winter. Vaporeon1 in warm water, Vaporeon2 in cold water Though they’d probably have to be replica-able with relevant items

I think for Cryogeist, it could be wild encounter only in a snowstorm (hailstorm weather but that's minor), you could use a dusk stone, or you could level up in a snowstorm (again, hail in battle) OR if you want to be quirky you could have a male snorunt have to faint in battle by a ghost type move at level 42 or above

I think a very unique way the eeveelutions evolve further is to use a specific move while another eeveelution is fainted in the party. For example, Leafeon will evolve into Foleon when Sylveon is fainted, Leafeon upon switching used Retaliate, or Leafeon used Last Resort. It may also be in this more drastic measure that all of the other party members are fainted, including Sylveon, and Leafeon is the only Pokemon ans used Retaliate or Last Resort

My thoughts on how Froslass could evolve into Cryogeist requires some new gameplay features to be added, i.e. being able to challenge other players to battle in an open-world format. Then, you would have to take a friend or other player out to a frozen area in the wild and defeat them in battle using Froslass to take down at least one of the opponent's Pokemon. Of course, Froslass must not be in a fainted state by the end of the battle. This would fit into the inspiration behind Froslass.

I think I would prefer for Eevee to evolve into a dual type instead of one of the eeveelutions evolving further I would like it to be more like if eevee turns into leafon it would stay that way permanently, but if you were to breed a leafon and a Sylveon then that eevee would would be able to turn into Foleon the grass/fairy type I think that would be cool and so on and so forth for every other type I think that works better because if an already existing Eeveelution evolves it would make it’s previous form less relevant with it’s stats and obviously typing considering it’s gaining a new type

Cryogeist has to defeat a male Pokrmon (or a number of male pokemon) while this pokemon has to be frozen which makes it a little bit more difficult and would suit the theme of the yokai that was to lead men to their death by freezing in cold weather.
